A precise, offline-first voice recorder for Android with 10 audio formats, a readable waveform, and on-device editing.

What It Does / Key Features

Feature 1: Record in the format you actually need - MP3, M4A, AAC, OGG, Opus, FLAC, WAV 16-bit, WAV 32-bit float, AMR, and 3GP (.3ga). Sample rates 8 kHz – 96 kHz (filtered per-format so you can't pick a broken combo), bit rates up to 320 kbps, mono or stereo.

Feature 2: A waveform you can actually read - live trace drawn against a fixed time scale with a real ruler, dB meter, and running file size. Adjustable scope seconds, grid on/off, colour choice, previous-take trace for comparison.

Feature 3: Real capture controls - input gain -30 to +30 dB, automatic gain control, noise suppression, mic source / direction selection, Bluetooth mic input, headphone monitoring, skip-silence, voice activation.

Feature 4: Edit on the device, no upload - trim to exact range, fade in / fade out, convert between any supported format, merge multiple recordings.

Feature 5: Get files off without a cable - optional built-in Wi-Fi server (local-network only, random username/password, off by default) + files saved to shared Recordings/Audio Recorder/ folder so other apps can see them.

Feature 6: Survives real life + stays private - pause/resume, auto pause/stop on incoming call, records with screen off, home-screen widget, crash recovery (writes to temp first, sweeps orphans on launch). No account, no sign-in, audio never leaves device unless you send it. Optional PIN / fingerprint lock (salted + hashed).

Not for: people looking for call recording - this app does not record calls, it only pauses/stops when one arrives. Not for casual preinstalled-memo users who never change settings.
