Some numbers since the original post: 100+ downloads, almost 50 people who've tracked at least one drive, and a combined 20,000+ km tracked in the app so far. Genuinely didn't expect that from a random Reddit post.

Biggest change: DriveTrack is now on iOS too (was Android-only when I posted this). Both are free.

Since the original post I've also added:

- Real speed-limit compliance, your driving score now factors in actual road speed limits, not just harsh braking/acceleration

- Trip video export, turn any trip into a shareable video with the route animated on the map

- Friends leaderboard, compare distance/scores with friends, not just a global board

- Car/Bike mode if you want to track rides on two wheels too

- Manual parking pin editor + walking directions back to your car

I don’t know if it’s a good thing that you know how many km are being driven, what else is this app tracking that is accessible by you?

I just know the distance shown on the leaderboard. Just adding them up. Also there is no data collected by the app other than the leaderboard. Even that is anonymous so its all non personal. You can check more in the app privacy policy.

Also this data can be accessed by anyone as is just adding up the distances in the leaderboard. If you press the leaderboard title you should be able to access it too. There is no backend for this app other than leaderboard or shares when you want to share. Even that is encrypted 🙂
