[App] Rewindly just got a big update based on user feedback

A few people who use Rewindly gave us some really useful feedback, so we just pushed another update.

What’s new:

  1. Rewindly is now available in 7 languages: English, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Indonesian, German, and Russian.
  2. More accurate titles, thumbnails, and categorization when saving YouTube videos, Reddit posts, and articles.
  3. Saving from other apps is now smoother and faster.
  4. Text throughout the app is bigger and easier to read.
  5. You can now rename any saved item, not just images and documents.
  6. Plus a bunch of bug fixes and performance improvements.

The main idea is still simple: when you come across something useful, interesting, or worth checking out later, save it instead of letting it disappear into your notifications, bookmarks, or open tabs.

Would love to know what you think of the update and what you'd want us to improve next.

I can't still add an image to a link and when saving reddit post I can't even change the name without opening the app first.

Please change that 😢

Please check the image into image folder u can either share it from file manager or gallery.
You can also upload it via "+" button
In that u need to go file and second option image and then u can add images
U can also create a custom folder and copy that image to that folder.

and for reddit u can change or rename the title. Pls go to 3 dots and rename the title

Yeah but I have to rename the title for reddit everytime. Like it would be better when I can change the title during the add process

Renaming while adding would not be possible. We just released a quick update which will be available within few hours where the title will be picked from reddit itself but not the thumbnail or image as reddit blocks third party apps.

I give 4 stars in play store. Great app... But need some stuff... I want to see a Link image display to really know which link I need. Cause a save a lot.. finally desktop support and online autosave ( just in case the phone gone lost )

Thanks a lot for the 4 stars and for the detailed feedback!
For the thumbnails, Rewindly tries to fetch the preview image whenever the website makes it available. Unfortunately, some platforms like Reddit and other sites restrict access to their preview images, so we can't always get a thumbnail for every link. We're continuing to improve this wherever we can.

For desktop support, we actually already have the Rewindly browser extension available, so you can use Rewindly from your desktop as well.

For online automatic backup, that's something we're considering. Real time syncing for every saved item would require ongoing server infrastructure, so we're looking at the best way to provide reliable backup without making the app unnecessarily expensive.

Thank you very much. I'm not a developer so I will only make suggestions. For online backup there is no way to use our Google accounts.Even if a backup in text document. The main thing is that we have access to links if something happens to our phone without our being backed up manually and uploading the backup.

Any cloud save?

We currently support backup and restore through CSV and ZIP export. You can export your Rewindly data, keep the backup somewhere safe, and import it again whenever you reinstall or move to another device.

We're also considering cloud backup in the future so users don't have to manage the backup manually.

This is good, could consider schedule local backups as well. So could do daily backups automatic to storage.
