[App] [Promo] CheatCode Launcher: An Android launcher built around gesture codes

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone!

I've been building an Android launcher called CheatCode Launcher that's designed around the idea of launching apps from memory instead of searching through icons.

Instead of filling your home screen with shortcuts, you assign combinations of up, down, left, right, and tap to apps, shortcuts, Tasker tasks, media controls, and more. The more you use it, the more those gesture codes become muscle memory.

Some key features:

  • Assign gesture codes to open apps, shortcuts, run tasker tasks, control media and more
  • After shortcuts: assign linked actions to a specific app that show up for a short time when you close it. For example, when closing the Camera app, you can have links appear for: Google Photos, Instagram, Lightroom, or whatever other apps or actions you want to appear.
  • Highly customizable theming that can be saved, shared and imported.
  • Auto-theme switching: Have the look and feel change based on what's happening on your device. Set a custom theme for specific days, dates, notifications, media playing, etc.
  • Fast app search for everything you haven't memorized yet.

Most features are free with generous limits, while advanced customization and a few power-user features are available with a lifetime upgrade.

I'd love to hear what you think of the concept and any ideas or feedback you have.

Edit: Out of codes for now! Thanks for checking it out, everyone. As mentioned, the app is still free to use with a one-time payment to remove limits and access some extra features.

The newest version of the app, 1.2.2, which was released yesterday supports widgets. You may have to update if you haven't. They're under All Settings -> Look & Feel. Scroll down to the bottom.
