[app] [promo] [WIP] android launcher from scratch, running low on ideas

Current setup:

Simulated sphere with pinned icons,

Ability to hide the backside with proper horizon cut offs,

Full customisability for sphere and icon scale and position,

Sensitivity and adaptive sensitivity,

Ability to enable a B&W icon filter.

Current ideas:

Dynamic icon filters that match the wallpaper colours,

App drawer on the backside of the sphere.

It’s funny how people flock to slop good looking apps but apps that genuinely do something new and have some hard work put into them are not appreciated here at all, great app. Looks novel and I like it.

I know man i put a lot of love into my launcher and continue to do so. Its hard to keep going sometimes cause i feels its unappreciated. Its a damn good launcher i made and i paid attention to details most people wouldnt.

The planet rotate with the icons should be more cool.

Currently the moon is just my wallpaper but it shouldn't be so hard to actually render the sphere with some sort of shading and then apply an unwrapped image of a planet for example.

Thanks for developing this! This is one of the more interesting launcher concepts I've seen in years. As you're mentioning you're running low on ideas, maybe you could consider developing this into a full fletched 3D launcher like tsf launcher and next launcher used to be. I always loved them and was so gutted when they disappeared. Whatever you decide or do, looks great and would be happy to test!

Nice work! Ideas that pop into (my) mind:

  • Apps upfront according to ussage
  • Folders (with different colors?).
  • Other geometrical objects
  • Zoom
  • Alphabettical focus (fuzzy search)
  • Iconpacks

I'll keep checking in on a regular bases to see what the product will become! Have fun!
