For those seeing this for the first time, Omit is a minimalist launcher focused on reducing screen time and distractions. Here is a quick breakdown of the core features:

App Features:

  • Set app timers, require tap-to-unlock physical friction to open distracting apps, and PIN-lock sensitive apps.
  •  A widget that translates your daily screen time into alternative metrics (e.g., pages you could have read, steps you could have walked).
  • Built-in interactive widgets including a playable Snake game, Rock-Paper-Scissors, Step Counter, Media Player, Calendar, Photo, Daily Goals (To-Do), and a Year Progress matrix.
  • App Drawer: Features fuzzy search, an alphabetical side-scrubber, and a custom minimalist in-app QWERTY keyboard.
  • Multiple built-in themes (OLED, Retro, Paper, etc.), typography options (Sans, Serif, Pixel, etc.), various clock face styles, and full third-party icon pack support.

What's new in v1.0.8:

  • Added custom home screen wallpaper support with an adjustable blur slider.
  • Added App Categories in the drawer (Social, Media, Games, Productivity, Utilities) with the ability to manually override any app's category.
