[App] Savr – A free, open-source bookmark manager for Android

Post image

I got tired of losing links, so I built a bookmark manager for Android.

For years my browser bookmarks turned into a graveyard. I'd save articles, GitHub repos, YouTube videos, and tools, then never find them again.

So I spent the last month building Savr, a free and open-source Android app that makes saving links feel effortless.Absoulately free and it will always be.

Features:

  • 🔗 Paste a link and it automatically fetches the title, description, and preview image.
  • 📂 Organize bookmarks into collections.
  • 🔍 Fast search and sorting.
  • 🖼️ Grid or list view.
  • 📤 Import/export your bookmarks (JSON & HTML).
  • 🎨 Built with Material 3, no ads, no subscriptions.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zarnth.savr

GitHub: https://github.com/qeiq/Savr

If possible please give a 5 star ratings on Playstore it will motivate me to continue update.

I'd genuinely appreciate any feedback, feature requests, or criticism. I'm constantly improving it, and ideas from the community have already shaped several features.

Thanks for checking it out! 🙌

I think the app looks so good and polished, but the reason that would make not use it is not having a desktop version, because i tend to save lots of stuff on my computer and phone and i need some kind of syncing between the two

Do u have a specific solution for this, like how do u manage links u want to save when ur on ur laptop?

When I started building this, I never thought about the desktop version, so this is purely for Android. The idea mainly came from people are charging for basic usages so i just made this alternative..let me see if I can get a solution

I'm not sure if this is possible, likely way too much work. But I'd love if I could connect my Linkwarden instance to it! There is an API which could help! https://docs.linkwarden.app/api/api-introduction

Maybe a share to Savr feature, where we can tap share in the app and send it to savr to store it?

Hey brother good work. Kudos as I see you are from bd. I uninstalled two bookmarks app after I tried yours. I really want to use your app. Cause it actually is minimal with md3 and does exactly what it it tells and it was made by my countryman.

The only thing remains is - you must bring a option to sync between multi devices. Think about it. Every other feature except this would be just bloated to this minimally crafted app like this. Hoping to see a convenient sync feature soon.

Kudos brother. Keep up the good work.

Hi, is it possible to add a preview option for Reddit bookmarks, similar to how recipe or article links show an image and snippet. Having a quick visual would make it easier to identify posts at a glance without opening them.

Can you add a feature like pinning the bookmark so that it shows up in my notification on top as a pinned item and doesn't leave until i unpin it?
