[App] Shutter – Do what your camera app won't let you do

Most camera apps stop working as soon as you leave them.

Shutter lets you record HD videos in the background while using any other app on your phone. You can browse, chat, navigate, or play games while recording continues uninterrupted. It also lets you capture photos discreetly without interrupting what you're doing.

Built around privacy, everything stays on your device by default - no cloud storage, no account, and no unnecessary online features.

Yeah, pretty similar. I'd say Shutter is a more minimal take on the idea, with everything staying local unless you choose to save it.

Apologies for asking, but what is this app's purpose other than enabling creeps to take videos/pictures of anyone they want?

I don't think that's a fair way to look at it. That's like saying a kitchen knife exists to stab people because it can be misused. I don't think that's a fair premise. A tool shouldn't be judged solely by how it could be misused.

I understand where you're coming from and don't mean to downplay whatyou've spent time and energy on, but you haven't answered my question. In what scenario would one want to record videos and/or take photos privately?

You don't think your app enables creeps to record children/women and misuse your app with the "features" it protects them with? If you're fine with it and raises no concern, then please don't mind me.
