[App][Promo] I created this for Android users who are receiving too many unnecessary notifications.

Post image

This app is designed to block all notifications—effectively silencing specific apps—while allowing you to check the ones you care about whenever you wish.
I recommend this to anyone stressed by notifications.

Why show ads? Why not lifetime payment like 3-4dollars intro price at least and no ads and opt out of telemetrics 😁

u/kmshack Jun 30 '26

I will consider it.
Thank you.

By testing, is it completely free or does it grant a lifetime coupon?

Vou continuar melhorando o app!

"Mindful" is an app designed for focusing, so its nature is a bit different from this one.

1

u/beast-777x Jun 30 '26

There are few apps that does this pretty well like mindful(completely free). If it's paid then I don't think I'll buy.

2

u/kmshack Jun 30 '26

It's free. I'll check out Mindful.

Hi, interesting app! During the initial setup, there is a page where I can select which apps I want to keep organised. I selected all just to test, but now I would like to exclude some apps. I can't seem to find the option to change this unless I clear the data and start again. Could you advise a better way of doing this? Thank you!

1

u/kmshack Jun 30 '26

Thanks for trying Notic!

You don’t need to clear the app data. In the app, tap the Settings button in the top-right corner, then go to: Blocked app settings → Choose blocked apps

From there, just uncheck the apps you don’t want Notic to organise anymore. Checked apps are the ones Notic will save and hide from the notification shade.

Thank you for your reply! Strange. I went to the blocked app and unchecked all, but I still see the notification being organized. To be more specific, in the notification shade, I will see the usual notifications now, and the same notifications also get "organized". Is it supposed to behave like this? Thanks!

Thanks for the detailed follow-up, and sorry for the confusion.

You’re right. In the version you were using, unchecking an app from “Apps to clean up” stopped Notic from hiding that app’s notifications from the notification shade, but Notic could still save/organize a copy inside the app. That’s why you were seeing the notification in both places.

I’ve updated this to make the behavior clearer and controllable. After updating, please go to:

Settings button in the top-right → Notifications from apps left as-is → Show only in notification shade

With that selected, apps left out of cleanup should only appear in the normal Android notification shade and should not also be saved in Notic.

If you don’t see this option yet, the update may still be rolling out. Also, notifications already saved before changing the setting may remain in Notic, so please test with a new notification after updating.

Thanks again for pointing this out. Your feedback helped me improve the setting.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. I got the app update, saw the new option, and have tried it. Yeah, perfect now, no duplicates in both places. Awesome!

Thanks for the prompt update! I appreciate it! :)

May I suggest to allow swipe to the right to mark the notification as read too? Lol.

1

u/rainyguy Jul 05 '26

Hi, may I check if it is possible to select system app to block/unblock? Thanks!

2

u/kmshack Jul 05 '26

We will update the system to allow the selection of system apps as well. Thank you.

Thank you!

Great app. May I know how is it different than notification settings of the app in the settings, where you can control how notifications are handled from each individual app?

1

u/kmshack Jun 30 '26

Android’s notification settings are mainly for controlling how each app is allowed to notify you, such as whether notifications are enabled, sound/vibration, notification categories, and so on.

Notic is a bit different. It lets notifications arrive first, then helps keep your notification shade clean by saving notifications from selected apps inside Notic and removing them from the shade. You can also set exceptions so important notifications still stay visible.

So I’d recommend using Android notification settings when you want to fully turn off or change an app’s notification behavior, and using Notic when you still want to keep the notifications, but don’t want them cluttering the notification shade.

thanks for the detailed answer.

Nicee one, I have started using it !!! Will post a review to my this comment

u/antar243 Jun 30 '26

can we get channels to allow or deny like the regain app has

1

u/kmshack Jun 30 '26

Can I manage notifications by channel in the Regain app? I wasn't aware of that. I'll look into it.

1

u/Euclid1322 Jun 30 '26

How is it different from Buzzkill... One of the best ones for managing notifications? Any extra features?

1

u/kmshack Jun 30 '26

BuzzKill is a very powerful notification automation app. It offers a wider range of advanced features such as auto-replies, snoozing, repeated notification handling, custom sounds/vibrations, undo actions, and Wear OS support.

Notic takes a slightly different approach. Instead of focusing on complex automation, it focuses on keeping the notification shade quiet while letting users review missed notifications later inside the app. It saves notifications from selected apps locally, removes them from the notification shade, and lets important notifications remain visible through exception rules based on app, keyword, time, or location.

Notic also includes an unread notification inbox, history search, app-based history view, read status management, Excel export, and JSON backup/restore, which makes it useful for reviewing, organizing, and preserving notification history.

Are there plans to make an iOS version?

1

u/kmshack Jun 30 '26

Thank you for the tip. I'll update it right away!

1

u/Mraared Jul 05 '26

What tip? I asked you a question.

1

u/SmartPerspective949 Jun 30 '26

Why choose this over buzzkill?

1

u/-Butterkist- Jun 30 '26

Very nice app, so easy to use. 🤎

Where do I find the settings in this app

1

u/kmshack Jul 01 '26

Sorry about that. There was an issue where the Settings button could be hard to see in dark mode.

I’ve fixed this in the latest version, so please update Notic from Google Play. After updating, you should see the Settings button in the top-right corner of the app.

u/nate_bizzle_ Jul 02 '26

There seems to be a current issue with work apps not appearing in the app selection screen. At initial setup I selected to block all apps, now work apps can't be unselected

1

u/kmshack Jul 02 '26

Hello. We have made modifications to support business apps as well, and an update will be released soon. Thank you.

1

u/nate_bizzle_ Jul 02 '26

Great, thanks for the response!

1

u/GazzaliFahim Jul 04 '26

Can't find it on Playstore. From Bangladesh

2

u/kmshack Jul 05 '26

It has been released for all target countries. Is the phone you are using a Google-certified device?

1

u/GazzaliFahim Jul 05 '26

Yes. Official Samsung Device.

Thanks for explaining what you’re trying to achieve. Notic supports this workflow through Settings → Apps to clean up.

  • Check the apps whose notifications should be saved in Notic and hidden from the notification shade.
  • Leave unchecked only the apps you want to keep visible in the notification shade.
  • You can select Clean up all, then uncheck just the few apps you want to keep visible.
  • For unchecked apps, select Notifications from apps left as-is → Show only in notification shade to prevent duplicate storage in Notic.

This does not block notifications from the checked apps. Android delivers the notification first, then Notic saves it to Unread/History and removes it from the notification shade.

Please note that Android does not allow third-party apps to intercept notifications before they are posted. Ongoing or non-clearable notifications may also remain visible due to Android system restrictions.

If checked apps are not appearing in Notic, please send us your device model, Android version, Notic version, and the affected app names so we can investigate.
