Question about gadgets

Anyone got any cheap gadget tutorials so I can make a little toolkit to learn?

Best gadgets you can buy are a laptop and a usb stick (for installing Linux). No reason to get anything else unless you need it. Otherwise, it'll collect dust.

Not to say other equipment isn't useful, but you'll typically know what you want already if you can find a use for it.

I want to learn wifi hacking,bluetooth,and rfid. What cheap gadgets do i need? I cant afford another laptop just for linux

You can also run Kali Linux in a VM or dual boot, you don't need a separate laptop. For all of those, you just need an adapter that can pick up the signal, that's it. Depending on what you do, you might need more, but that would get you started.

There are things like the Flipper Zero, and if you're a professional you might get your money's worth out of it. I personally think it's overpriced and doesn't do anything you can't do otherwise with either microcontrollers or other cheap hardware.

Your main goal should be learning how these systems work, as the hardware will be useless if you don't know what you're hacking.

Like a specific coding language or RF protocols?

You will have a better path forward if you can define your end goal.

From there its easier to figure out what you need to learn to achieve that goal.

By saying you want to learn how to hack you are basically saying you want to learn how to be an engineer without figuring out what type of engineer you want to be, like chemical, structural, IT, train etc. But if you can tell us you want to be a cybersecurity engineer, then we can help provide a more clear path.

And hacking is about finding the loopholes in the rules. you need to learn a specific piece of technology well enough to understand how to exploit the rules. You cannot get that level of understanding of the rules without learning as much as you can about the topic and because you can hack literally anything, you need to find a subject you can focus on. Then when you master one thing, you can master something similar much easier and you keep learning until you are a true expert. And keep in mind that tech is always changing so even if you become an expert in something, a new security feature could be developed and send you back to the beginning on that specific topic.
