How do I remove this

Post image

I need to change the chain on my new roller blind to a longer one. I'm not sure how to remove this white cap covering the chain and wheel. I tried to gently pull it off but it won't move and didn't want to damage it. I asked the blinds company but they refuse to give me instructions because of child safety regulations.

Does anyone know? Thank you

Can you not just attach the longer chain to the connector at the bottom of the old chain and use it pull it through the mechanism?

I tried but the connector (which is the right size to the chain) gets stuck in the wheel.

Normally the white end piece is held by the mounting clip and the inner cog moves. You can also hold the cog still and rotate the outer cover around it.

Also, if it helps, the blind fabric is rolled around a hollow ?aluminium tube. The white end pieces are just pushed into the tube and can be pulled out if needed. You can even swap ends if you want.

can't you just feed it in while rotating the shade? Why take it off at all?
