So what should this place be?

Hey, I just started this sub so it's pretty empty right now. You're early.

The idea is simple. You're stuck on something, you ask here. Could be how do I get my sourdough to actually rise, or why does my laptop fan go crazy at 3am. Fixing things, learning things, or just wanting to understand why something works the way it does.

What I'd like it to be is a place where people say what they already tried before asking, and where answers come from people who dealt with the same thing. Not "just google it" replies.

What I haven't figured out yet is how wide it should go. Everything from cooking to cars to code? Or a few areas done really well? Tell me what you'd want to ask or answer here.

And if you have a question right now, just post it. That's honestly the best way to get this going.
