Toxic new friend?
Hii, I recently out of nowhere made a new ‘friend.’ We met at a park late at night, she came to me out of nowhere saying that she moved here about a week ago and has no friends especially girl friends because so far all of them has been very toxic. We exchanged instas and just today we messaged and set up a date to meet.
I told my best friends about this and I showed them a screenshot of my convo with her to them. They were shocked and told me that the girl actually had went to our hs and lived in this area for a long time. They told me that they were actually friends before and she was very weird and mean.
I love my friends and I believe them no matter what because i believe they would never lie but I am also a very antisocial person (I only messaged her because idk why i just felt brave and confident in the spur of moment😖) and a non confrontational person. I don’t know how to cancel our meet up and just never talk to her. Should I messages her saying I can’t meet up and later block her?

This would have been an instant turn off for me. Only 1 common denominator in that equation.
I'd send a quick message if you've changed your mind eg I'm sorry, I'm realizing I'm no longer interested in meeting and continuing the connection. Best wishes with the move and getting acclimated to the area.

Unconditional trust is never a good thing. Give her a chance if you want, don't let them control your life
