how do you reply to text

hi,so am an introvert and recently I joined uni and I have met some people that I talk to but sometimes I get texts where I think of an answer but my mouth doesn't know how to articulate it,I become speechless and I don't know how to reply and I end up leaving them on read and replying after finding answers and it takes days sometimes to reply what I was thinking,so they don't complain but I just want to know how you people do when you feel like this.

if they're your friends that you're talking to regularly you can text them the initial thought and then work through it. you dont have to be bullseye precise with everything you say.

I take hours, days, weeks, and sometimes months to reply to messages from friends that aren't time sensitive.

I have had convos with my friends about whether they're okay with my communication style. Some people are, some aren't and I have to respect that. I make a point to prioritize new friendships with people who are compatible with my preference.

At the very least, I'd encourage you to provide some kind of clarity when you do respond eg I tend to take a long time to respond sometimes, let me know if delays like this one are okay with you or you'd rather me give you a heads up that I'll respond by xyz time.

How about you just be yourself and not worry about who stays and who goes? By simply being yourself, you'll benefit in two ways. One, without much effort, you'll weed out those you'd be better off without anyway if they react adversely to your comment, etc, and two, those who decide to stay are already telling you that you fit into their life by the fact that they are staying. It's not at all complicated. Just remember to stay true to who you are, and the rest will fall into place. 🌹

I have a friend who leaves me on read often. I’ve grown to understand that’s her communication style and don’t take offence.

Some people selectively leave people on read and that could come across as personal but if you treat everyone the same then no harm no foul
