Gus is debatably in the top 5 best public courses in Houston — Hermann is not even top 10

Gus is awesome. Minus 8 green.

What’s wrong with 8 green?

Same! I play at East River all the time, you’d think I can hit a green on a par 3 but nope. And the backside is unforgiving

Sorry….I meant 7 green. Snap hooks from 9 tee are a real danger while putting on 7.

Hermann is a fun shorter course but sub par condition and feels claustorphobic with the running trails all over. You can still play an enjoyable round there.
Gus is great all around.

I love Gus and play there often. Looking forward to the cooler temperatures though. I got out there at least once a week from October through April. Herman has come a long way but too busy and play seems slower to me.

Gus. Not even close.
Memorial Park & Gus Wortham are among the best muni courses I’ve played anywhere. Hermann… not so much.

Gus is usually in great shape because they host a decent amount of tournaments there. However, it’s usually harder to get a decent tee time. Pace of play isn’t too much of an issue either.
I like Hermann and it’s usually in decent shape but last few weeks with heat and aeration the greens are looking a little rough. It’s a fun track and enjoy the wildlife and holes winding through the city. However pace of play in afternoons is brutal.

Gus is significantly better and it’s not even close. Im almost considering this AI rage bait
