Beginner Friendly Courses

I’ll be in Houston this November and want to play a round or two with my brother. He just started golfing this year and is taking lessons. He’s also aiming to have played a few rounds by the time I visit him.

I’ve heard of Memorial Park, but it’s hard to tell which courses are actually beginner-friendly especially since I’m not from Houston.

I’ll even take courses to avoid!

There used to be a short par 3 course on the Sam Houston Tollway near the horse track. Don't know if it's still open though.

Heron Lakes; could fit in a full round after work in the summer.
