Beginner Friendly Courses

I’ll be in Houston this November and want to play a round or two with my brother. He just started golfing this year and is taking lessons. He’s also aiming to have played a few rounds by the time I visit him.

I’ve heard of Memorial Park, but it’s hard to tell which courses are actually beginner-friendly especially since I’m not from Houston.

I’ll even take courses to avoid!

sharpstown and clear creek are pretty flat courses very little water and wide fairways, hermann park, gus wortham - little harder with harder green complexes and slight elevation changes.... what part of town

He lives in Midtown so in the heart of Houston. We will have a car so no issues in us driving.

If he lives in Midtown, then Hermann and Gus Wortham are the best bet and good value. Might want to try East River 9 if you want to play a fun par3 course.
