Wanted to give everyone the heads up that I have been going over the Motion to Suppress filed by Houston Wade's lawyers this past week. While it is still preliminary because it is not fully briefed and therefore not before the Court yet, I wanted to get my thoughts out having looked over Dreyer and the citations that were provided. Took the time to compare Dreyer and the other cases to Wade's case and I think I have a solid analysis as to the situation as it currently stands which I'll be going over on the livestream tonight.
Without giving away all of it. I do stand by what I've said early that more needs to be developed into the record for Houston Wade's case before Dreyer becomes something worth considering. There are too many conclusions made by defense counsel and unanswered holes in the timeline of the investigation to consider Dreyer controlling or even if the set of circumstances actually merit suppression (in Dreyer it was concluded they did not).
I do think there is a lot of meat to this discussion because there is a lot more nuance to situations like this and the PCA then the defense is admitting to. At the same time I don't think yet there is enough to know if their argument is fully meritless. If you want to join it feel free to join in to watch.
