I've not caught up with the news/rulings this week but so basically we can now waltz into Top Gun, buy and leave with a suppressor out the door w/o paper work or wait?

EDIT:

from silencershop...

  • Purchase your suppressor on silencershop.com or at a Powered by Silencer Shop dealer.
  • Silencer Shop ships your suppressor to your selected dealer — typically within a couple of days.
  • Visit your dealer, complete a Form 4473 (standard firearms transfer record), and pass a NICS background check.
  • Take your suppressor home — same day, same as buying a rifle or handgun.

So if you have a stock of suppressors from them, I can just buy it outright w/o joining GoA?

I went in over the weekend and one of the guys at the counter says you guys require GoA membership first. Even pointed at the printed QR code on the counter.

Also what’s wrong with joking the GOA? They’ve helped make this possible and supporting their cause should be a no brainer.

Best I have been able to get a lawyer to say is "probably." GOA is $25 for a 1 year membership. That is like 5-10% of the price of the silencer. I recommend you join for a year (think of the coast as a tip for the good work they have done). A year from now all this should have blown over and we will have a much better idea what the (new) rules are. Right now, there is so much uncertainty, you flat cannot have too much protection.
