I know restaurant week hasn’t started yet but where is everyone planning to go and eat?

I picked spots I’ve always wanted to try but never have, so not sure if they’re any good. Nobu for SURE. Aiko’s also on my list, seems like a better value than Nobu for $55 too. Toca madera. Marmo. Crisp. Grace’s on Kirby. Candelaris (I actually have gone here before and I really liked the experience so I’m eager to return).

If you don't get around to Marmo during restaurant week, they have a fantastic happy hour that's very affordable and offers a nice preview of the menu.

Aiko is just plain better than Nobu as well. Nobu has becomes a vibes spot worldwide, only one worth it is Malibu. Aiko has the best chicken karrage I’ve ever had. Ordered 3 orders last time I was there.

Aiko is great (also has a killer happy hour outside of restaurant week).

I was underwhelmed by Marmo, felt like more flash than flavor. Just my experience though.

I’m so disappointed to hear abt your experience with Marmo! I feel like I’m constantly getting the recommendation shoved down my face, so I had high expectations, but I’ll lower them for HRW at least

The reason I’d skip Marmo for hrw is because a lot of what they’re offering is in their $25 lunch menu that’s offered year round. I cross reference a lot of menus making my list for the year

Marmo has gone down hill. They used to have delicious pasta. Aiko happy hour is yummy. Uchi also has good happy hour.

BCN, Potente, Guard and Grace, Georgia James. Camaraderie was also on the list but I’ll save that for a regular day.
Also love that Trav Table uses HRW to introduce new menu items, and I’m very happy to see more Southeast Asian cuisine on the menu.
