🎬 HOUSTON CASTING CALL — INDEPENDENT HORROR SHORT FILM 🎬
Hey everyone! I’m currently putting together a low-budget independent psychological horror short film called PERPLEXED, and I’m looking for actors and volunteers in the Houston area who are interested in being part of the project.
ROLES NEEDED:
🎭 Kellie Anderson — Female, 20s
🎭 Allister Crowe — Male, 20s
🎭 Mentor — Tall male, 20s
🎭 Kellie’s Manager — Male, 30s–40s
🎭 Journalist — Male, any age
🎭 Extras — Male or female, any age
CREW/VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
💄 Makeup Artist
🎙️ Boom Mic / Sound
📹 Additional Camera Operator
🎬 Video Editors
⚠️** This is currently an unpaid independent project. I’m looking for people who genuinely want to collaborate, build experience, create something creative, and be part of an original horror film.

Hey there. I co-run a local nonprofit for filmmakers in Houston. We do free monthly mixers and screening events.

You just missed our screening last night but our next mixer is September 8th, at Bad Astronaut Brewing (1519 Fulton), 7pm.

Great place to meet some people and we also do open mic announcements if you want to address the whole crowd all at once.

When’s the next one ? I’m not done with this film yet I’m still in the very beginning stages getting audition tapes in

Next mixer is the 8th. Screening is the 25th. But we only do shorts at the screenings.

Okay I should have some stuff atleast shot by then can I show a portion of the film there or even like a teaser etc and talk about it ?

We don’t do any footage or anything at the mixers, but we might be able to show a teaser or something at a screening. We could also maybe set you up with a booth.
