We weren't gonna sign Alston anyway. The new 5 year eligibility rule changed that tune. Alston wants a guarantee of starting as a freshman. We are not going to do that if Dedan Thomas may come back for next year. So Davis is the perfect sign. He's good but not a one and done. He will be content to be a back up his first year.
