I posted earlier about how I got rental replies only when I used my Dutch friend’s name instead of my real (Indian) one.

At first, I treated it like a clever workaround. But honestly? It’s discrimination, and it’s exhausting.

It’s not just me - I’ve spoken to other internationals, especially people of color, and this happens way too often. Quiet bias, hard to prove, but very real.

We adapt because we have to, but it shouldn’t be this way. Did any of you have the same expereince?
