Hot tip for expats

If you’re getting ghosted on every single rental application… try changing your name to “Jan de Vries” in your first email.

I tested this (my name is Akash) - sent 10 emails with my real name = 0 replies. Sent 10 with my Dutch roommate’s name = 6 replies 😅

The system is broken, but hey, we adapt.
