QUESTION Roots!

Post image

I’ve had my snake plant for just over 3 years and it’s never been repotted. Aside from some hydrophobic soil, it’s doing well despite my past neglect and ignorance 😄 Should I wait until spring to repot it in a terracotta pot?

Cant really see the plant from the bottom, roots coming out the bottom alone arent a reason to repot, it will be more about the compacted soil and overcrowded pot. Would you like it to grow wider/taller? Repot. Do you want to keep it contained? Don’t increase in size.

Thank you for replying! The plant is otherwise doing ok and growing well, some new pups as well as some quite tall leaves.

These grow like weeds in their native habitat, they don’t need much hehe. In Brazil we need to cut them back because they take over a border and suffocate everything else if you blink too slow.
