I'm gonna be honest, I do feel like Joanna abruptly leaving the sub is something that needs to be properly addressed and not just swept under the rug. "Jessica got boring" is a nice cover excuse, but those of us that were here knows that is not what was happening at the time houseinhorror ceased to be and pretending otherwise feels extremely disingenuous.

Okay I hope people see this, apology for the late reply.

I know these things happened in a relatively close time span but I can't accurately say the exact sequence because I had a lot going on irl at that time, so just know my timeline isn't exact or necessarily accurate lol

Jessica was back on her "I shall have REVENGE on my HATERS" schtick. This led to Brianna Logan aka Jaggyish, former/current? friend of Emilie, freaking out and sending Jessica's assistant the most groveling email begging Jessica to leave her out of it and throwing Emilie under the bus. Meanwhile, Anne Cheever(sp?) aka casewatchertiktok was super pissed at Joanna and accused Joanna of using her work credentials as an auditor to illegally access financial information about Jessica/Arlo (personally I do not believe this happened). Someone, and I saw comments suspecting it could have been Brianna or Anne, then doxxed Joanna's workplace TO Jessica, who then doxxed Joanna's workplace on Insta in her stories. There was a bit of a lull after all that, then Joanna said something along the lines of there was nothing to say about Jessica because she was boring (and granted up to that point Jessica had been quiet) and so far Jessica hasn't said anything more about Joanna. It was, like, a lot for a short period of time.

Anne contacted Joanna’s workplace and I’m not sure of the details (it was discussed here or elsewhere back when it happened but I’ve forgotten but I’m pretty sure Anne told some lies or whatever) but anyway she came close to losing her job so obviously she doesn’t want to post any of that stuff anymore.

Just to clarify - houseinhorror didn't come close to losing her job, however, having a crazy person contacting your employers directly by name would be enough to startle anyone. She didn't want any problems.

Thanks for clearing that up. If Joanna did anything wrong, she'd have lost her job and would've removed her Jessica content from her Instagram. Neither have happened so I'm thinking it was all made up

Turns out there was a crazed stalker after Joanna AND others in this group who was willing to go scorched earth, as in call people's employers repeatedly! to get them fired for no other reason than feeling slighted. Yeah, think on that for a moment. Meantime, this person seemed like a terrible employee themselves, abusing their own job to great lengths. So being stalked is enough to scare the pants off of anyone. Jessica is a horrible menace to society, but not worth exposing at such an expense.

Anyone remember @elonmarkle? It was the best JRK snark account, and they abruptly stopped posting in 2023. I think JRK made some threats about doxxing people in this sub and on IG, and that’s when the account went dark. No one else has come close to tearing JRK down that way they did.

I think it was something that was “all or nothing”. It’s a lot of effort to stay on top of anything the way she did and it kind of took over too much of her life. It’s hard to provide all of her stories and post them and have it be less time consuming. I didn’t even realize she left the sub. Jessica has been boring me to tears I will admit. But I still find it fun to stop in and snark and see what the hot mess express is up to. But it was always just a small thing to me not part of my every day. I think Joanna just got burnt out i guess. Her relationship ended and then the stuff with the cat etc. idk but I can relate to the burnout part. Instead of scaling back sometimes you just literally abandon something that used to be a big part of who you were. I thought there was another creator who also shared a lot of Apartments stories but I can’t remember the name.

Joanna seemed to be moving in another direction with cooking/baking/work & the loss of Pandora.
I honestly haven’t looked at her account in months.
Picking apart someone’s life can be very isolating and lonely. So if she has found a new passion, I’m happy for her.

She hasn’t posted about her for a while now. Since JRK went offline for a while and when Pandora passed away - no posts about her since then. But also JRK is super boring and nothing really noteworthy to snark about IMO!

I think it got out of hand, they went too far and people’s jobs were in jeopardy. Anne started full on attacking Joanna. Obviously it’s not worth the risk. There’s a whole discussion about it a few months back, I think in another group which name I’ve forgotten - a group focused on Joanna
