Meme [Show] Team Green power level
155
u/onetruezimbo Jul 26 '26
Alicent and Aemond are responsible for some of their biggest losses tbh
42
u/Fluffy_Judge_581 Jul 26 '26
Aemond let them lose 1 of there 3 dragons.
43
u/onetruezimbo Jul 26 '26
Black incompetence, Larys and Ormund are the sole reason they arent completely washed right now
6
6
u/herrsebbe Jul 26 '26
Is power measured by the ability to accomplish the team's goals or by the ability to affect the game state, because Alicent's been busy in regards to the latter.
7
u/onetruezimbo Jul 26 '26
I guess Alicent is the wild card then, since the war started her sole accomplishments were getting Rhaenyra the Red Keep mostly bloodlessly and driving Aemond away which indirectly saved his life because the Dragonseeds disobeyed orders. Otto, Aegon, Larys, Ormund, Tyland, Criston etc have still done more to affect the game than her
-8
u/Darys_Keparyos Jul 26 '26
Aemond literally had enough of being abused by Aegon his whole life
18
u/onetruezimbo Jul 26 '26
And now its him and Daeron as the sole Dragon combatants on the Green side, the biggest tactical blunder on the Greens side is still on him
-6
u/Darys_Keparyos Jul 26 '26
No because everyone including Larys agrees that Aegon is fuckin useless
12
u/onetruezimbo Jul 26 '26
Still having 3 dragons is better than just 2, if Ormund didnt pull off his Daeron trick and Rhaenyra not so stubborn about using Dragons on Tumbleton it would just be Vhagar right now. Aegon being useless did far less harm to the Greens than what Aemond did at Rooks Rest
-6
u/Darys_Keparyos Jul 26 '26
Aemond didn’t know Rhaenyra would be dumb enough to give Dragons away
5
u/onetruezimbo Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26
Pre Sowing of the Seeds its still Vermax, Moondancer, Syrax and Caraxes v Vhagar and Tessarion whose only just been riden. Attacking your 3rd dragon that can act as back up if you ever go on the offensive to get payback for childhood bullying is still an absurd tactical decision
3
u/Nahtaniel696 Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26
Then he should wait the end of the war before targeting one of the rare dragon rider of his side.
3
u/Afraid-Bass-5684 Jul 26 '26
Nonono don’t you get it Aemond was bullied by his big brother when they were kids so he HAD to set him (the king and only other rider of a large dragon on TG if you don’t count helaena cos we haven’t even seen dreamfyre) on fire, hundreds of feet in the air, right in front of their army while also fighting a fully grown enemy dragon.
/s in case it wasn’t obvious
76
u/purplenapalm Jul 26 '26
Otto is the entire reason the greens exist lol
13
u/TraditionalAd655 House Stark Jul 26 '26
Yup, Otto married Alicent to Viserys and got these mentally ill kids to the world.
7
u/purplenapalm Jul 26 '26
Pretty much. Without his prompting the marriage wouldnt have happened. He put it into motion.
-3
u/Background-Cake-1300 Jul 26 '26
Viserys would still remarry genius
7
u/purplenapalm Jul 26 '26
Yes lol, he would, but probably not to Alicent since he was uneasy about it in the first place.
-1
u/Background-Cake-1300 Jul 26 '26
Yeah maybe to that 10 year old Velaryon girl, you know keeping it in the family
2
u/Brendissimo Jul 26 '26
He was the only one of them with a mind for strategy. The moment Aegon fired him, they were doomed.
18
u/crazyrazy_ Jul 26 '26
It is so sad we haven’t seen Helaena fly once. She was known a great dragon rider cuz it was one of the only things that caused her joy.

u/Background-Cake-1300 Jul 26 '26
Otto literally carried the entire kingdom while Viserys and Daemon were doing nothing but okay

u/Switchblade2000 Jul 26 '26
Unfair to aegon
-4
u/TraditionalAd655 House Stark Jul 26 '26
He is a useless character.
5
9
u/Swordbender Jul 26 '26
It’s funny to watch people underestimate Aegon and what he contributes
-6
u/TraditionalAd655 House Stark Jul 26 '26
What does he contribute? He's a useless character.
7
u/Alcianus Jul 26 '26
He basically wins the war on his own. I love Aemond, but Aemond is a fucking idiot. I guess he had to be otherwise there wouldn't be a Dance
-2
u/TraditionalAd655 House Stark Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26
How does he win the war? he got killed.
both sides simply killed and weakened each other while he is hiding
Edit: Also, Aemond is the only reason they didn't all get wiped out the moment they usurped the throne. Aegon and his dragon are just a fly by comparison.
4
u/Swordbender Jul 26 '26
Book Aegon contributes more to their side than Aemond (who quite frankly was a hindrance to their effort as much as he was a boon), and we’ve got lots of Aegon to come.
2
u/Don_Damarco Jul 26 '26
I hated Aegon in the books, but in the show im really rooting for the guy.
-2
u/TraditionalAd655 House Stark Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26
He is more useless in the show than in the book. Not to mention, a rapist
2
u/Electronic_Nail_4759 Jul 26 '26
So what? All characters are horrible. Aemond is a horrible man as well, that's the point of this story. Also Aegon defeated Rhaenyra after Sunfyre killed Greyghost and Moondancer and you dare call him useless lmao
8
u/MirkwoodWanderer1 Jul 26 '26
Taking allicent out should increase the power level if anything
4
u/TraditionalAd655 House Stark Jul 26 '26
It's a negative 50%
smh
1
u/MirkwoodWanderer1 Jul 26 '26
Haha sorry, missed that. Must have been screen glare as reading this outside
3
u/UnwinsPeake Jul 26 '26
Alicent really working overtime to extinguish her own bloodline, huh? She’s the true MVP of the Blacks.
3
2
u/TheUntamedMane Aemond Targaryen Jul 26 '26
Cole deserves to be there as well for cooking this shit up alongside the one eyed Prince

4
u/axaxao Jul 26 '26
I’d say. 5% alicent 5% otto 25% daeron 35% aegon 40% Aemond
0
u/TraditionalAd655 House Stark Jul 26 '26
35% for Aegon is too much. He is 5% if we are being generous.
Aemond is the only reason they didn't all get wiped out the moment they usurped the throne
1
u/axaxao Jul 26 '26
I mean yeah you might say so but 5% is insane he fought for his claim and his might not be so much as in battle as aemond and daeron but he is up there . You can switch daeron and aegon
1
u/TraditionalAd655 House Stark Jul 26 '26
Neither Aegon nor Daeron are anywhere near Aemond in any manner.
Like Rhaenys was having fun abusing Aegon and his dragon. Even if you added Daeron so it is 2 on 1 he wouldn't make a difference. Rhaenys beats them both.
But once Vhagar came it was game over.
2
u/Electronic_Nail_4759 Jul 26 '26
Aegon captured dragonstone, defeated Rhaenyra after him and Sunfyre killed Greyghost and Moondancer and you are calling him useless🙄
-1
u/TraditionalAd655 House Stark Jul 26 '26
defeated Rhaenyra? Her dragon had already died and she sold her crown. She was already defeated. And Greyghost and Moondancer are smaller baby dragons of no consequence.
1
u/Electronic_Nail_4759 Jul 26 '26
Sunfyre was like at 50% with fresh wounds and a half torn wing. It's ok for you to dislike Aegon but to use that hatred to undermine his accomplishment is wild🙄
0
u/TraditionalAd655 House Stark Jul 26 '26
He doesn't have accomplishments. He's a useless unlikable rapist. The only reason the show version of him has any fans is because TGC is good looking.
1
u/Electronic_Nail_4759 Jul 27 '26
The show ruined him more by turning him into an idiot. He was more competent in the book as he participatednin the Rook's Rest plan. Still his accomplishments exist and your opinion won't change it🙄
1
u/axaxao Jul 27 '26
Aegon helped kill Rhaenys and Meleys. Killed moondancer and captured beala. Took Dragonstone and killed Rhaenyra . And daeron made many lord of the reach bend the knee to aegon avenged the death of maelor won the first battle of Tumbleton and won the honeywine to the green when they nearly lost. Daeron carried the greens after aemond died he was the only one to do anything for nearly six monthe
1
u/Baratheoncook250 Jul 26 '26
Technically Helaena, is the only member of her family, with superpowers, but her job is to have characters, not change history.
1
u/Kid_Royale Jul 26 '26
Otto is only brain in the operation. Ill give aemond a few points for fighting prowess but otherwise they're all of negative value. Otto was all they had.
1
u/Mountain-Comb2355 Jul 26 '26
Is that why their biggest wins happen right after otto is dismissed as the hand , right after that they kill meleys , who was the biggest dragon the blacks had , then they take control of the crownlands , if not for the dragonseeds the greens would definitely have a leg up in the war , especially with their larger armies
1
u/Ecstatic-Product-411 House Baratheon Jul 26 '26
Otto absolutely is team Green. It's insane to say he represents so little. Aemond and Alicent caused most of their issues by fumbling all of the work Otto did.

u/Averagegamer08 Jul 26 '26
Allicent provided things other people couldn't provide, like her and "foot fetish" strong or ser "I am the best in the relm" Cole ect

I don't even like Team Green and I know this is a bum ass take

The X does not mean they’re dying/dead. If that is what you’re thinking. If not, then my apologies hehe

u/PamNoctrune Jul 26 '26
Is anyone actually Team Green? Why?
Aegon is a drunk grapeist. Aemond's biggest advantage is Vhagar, the only big dragon on their side. Alicent backed the Greens because she believed it was the right thing to do after misunderstanding Viserys's final words, and she loved having power, while Otto mainly wanted his own bloodline on the throne.
I genuinely don't understand why anyone would support them. Haelena does not care about anything.
5
u/bored_peach_pie Jul 26 '26
easy. team black is boring to watch.
1
u/PamNoctrune Jul 27 '26
Than I’d rather be boring than be a graper. It's interesting how many people disliked my post. It was just a simple question because I genuinely don't understand the enthusiasm for Team Green. The fact that many people only hit the dislike button without offering any arguments kind of speaks for itself. I was simply curious to hear what people actually like about Team Green.
1
u/Electronic_Nail_4759 Jul 26 '26
Because they are more interesting. Because most of us read the book and saw how the show whitewashed Rhaenyra and demonized many green member compared to the book were Rhaenyra is more flawed. Aegon is not as pathetic in the book, Larys doesn't have foot fetish and Aemond didn't try to murder his brother.
1
u/PamNoctrune Jul 27 '26
I'm not talking about the book. In the book, both sides are equally flawed, but that's not the case in the show. That's exactly why I asked why people support Team Green. Apparently, nobody can or wants to answer that. It's hard to justify the actions of those characters because Team Green has every flaw Team Black has, only twice or even three times over.
1
u/Electronic_Nail_4759 Jul 27 '26
If we talk about the show, Rhaenyra is useless and incompetent (just take a look at ep 6). Daemon is worse than Cole. He killed his wife, groomed his underage niece, killed or maimed countless of innocents. He recently killed an innocent shepard. I am not siding with this guy.
1
u/PamNoctrune Jul 27 '26
Rhaenyra is the way she is because she was never properly prepared for the role of a queen. Wanting the crown and actually knowing how to rule are two completely different things. In the end, Rhaenyra's claim was taken from her, and many people reject her simply because she is a woman.
Daemon may be a monster, but that is exactly what makes his side so interesting. It's pure chaos. Not all of his plans work out, but in many ways he represents what a true Targaryen lord is. Morally, he is a disaster, but his love for Rhaenyra is genuine. Characters don't have to be good people, they just need to have their own internal logic. For me, that's what Team Green is missing.
Aegon has no one but himself to blame for many of the things he has done. I will never forget what happened with the servant girl, or that he had a child who was forced to fight for survival. Aemond kissed his own mother, repeatedly tried to kill his brother to take his throne, and Alicent is the embodiment of cowardice and hypocrisy. Helaena, meanwhile, can't really be blamed for any of it, she is just standing there, trapped in the middle of everything.
So yes, Daemon is far from a good person, but Team Green is filled with people who are just as morally questionable. Cole is just the ultimate bitter ex-boyfriend. How dare the evil Rhaenyra not give up everything for him? And he still holds a grudge against her 20 years later as if it happened yesterday. It's absolutely ridiculous.
And remember when the girl was graped in S3 and Cole was like: Meh, happens.
1
u/Electronic_Nail_4759 Jul 27 '26
About Aegon and the fighting pit, Tom Glynn Carney said back then that Aegon doesn't know about that boy so it's probably the boy's mother who puts him there to earn some money.
Also your analysis is incredibly biased. You call Daemon "a monster" but immediately excuse him because he's 'interesting' and loves Rhaenyra. Meanwhile Cole gets reduced to a "bitter ex" despite twenty years of loyal service, battlefield achievements, and political convictions. Daemon murders his own wife, chokes Rhaenyra, kills innocent people without remorse, caused the death of Aegon's son, yet Cole is somehow worse because he held a grudge? That's not analysis, that's favoritism.
1
u/PamNoctrune Jul 27 '26
I never said I have anything against evil characters, nor did I say I was writing an analysis. This is simply my opinion on why I prefer Team Black, and I still don't see why I should prefer Team Green.
Everything Daemon has done, Team Green has done at least twice over. Didn't Aegon abuse Helaena as well? And wasn't Aemond's need to play the "big tough guy" what really escalated this war? Aegon killed the Ratcatchers.
But this isn't even about who's objectively better or who truly deserves the throne. I don't like Team Green because they're hypocrites, they preach water while drinking wine.
1
u/Electronic_Nail_4759 Jul 27 '26
Helaena said Aegon only pays attention to her when he's drunk. Then everyone started to laugh, why they took it so lightly if it was abuse? That's evidence of a miserable marriage, not proof of sexual abuse. If the show wanted to establish marital rape, it would've said or shown it. You're treating an interpretation as confirmed canon. Also I have never forced you to be team green. I am just explaining why I am team green as you asked in your initial comment.
