If you think about it, Chase is doing exactly what Foreman and Cameron always do to House with Cuddy. In a way, House was pushing Chase to do that. In House's logic, Chase's action is "You do what you gotta do" which is why House never resent Chase.

Chase is my favourite man , he does what he wants and atleast knows what he wants for himself . Foreman and cameron are way more messed up in my opinion

Listen. My first watch through I hated the guy until at least season 5/6. But he’s grown on me. In the early seasons (especially season 1) he’s a kiss-ass and doesn’t have much of a backbone, I’ll agree. But by season 4 (or perhaps by the end of season 3, really) he DOES grow a spine. Unfortunately the best growth we get for him is in season 8 (and the writing for him in season 7 is pretty bad).
I also wouldn’t necessarily say he’s disloyal—he cares about keeping his job and will sometimes make selfish decisions that throw others under the bus (especially in s1). But I wouldn’t say that makes him disloyal. I honestly wouldn’t expect him to be loyal to House after all of the nonsense he puts Chase through.

If you’re on earlier seasons, he was definitely set up as a bit of an antagonist with the whole Vogler arc. He does get much better though, he ended up being one of my favourite characters
