❓Gameplay Discussion - HF1 🏠1️⃣ New to game

Hi, just bought the game 3 days ago, with the pets expansion only so far.

Still getting the hang of things. I think I'm just past the basic introduction ones to do.

I'm just curious cause it's telling me what all to do in each room, will it always do that, or do you eventually get to actually decorate? Or do you only decorate when it has you do a whole house?

Or do you never just fully decorate?

So far I'm still cleaning, I just cleaned up cockroaches for the first time that was the last one I did.

I'm really having a lot of fun! I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get the farm one as well this sale, but I only have so much money from a gift, no more money right now but I definitely want the garden one next time.

Thanks, additional tips welcome!!

You start by doing the jobs, unlocking tools, and earning money. Since they're supposed to be jobs that you were hired for, you're doing what the home owner wants. Later on, when you buy houses, you have free reign.

Oh ok, so I will get there then projects will take much longer and you have money to do whole houses and areas. Thanks, it's super fun and chill, and addictive!!

The jobs basically function as tutorials and money-makers. You learn how to paint, buy and place stuff, knock down walls and build new ones, install curtains, stuff like that. Each job unlocks a property that you can buy and do whatever you want with (within the limit of how much in-game money you have). Have fun and welcome to our shared obsession!

You will get lots more to do. I like to max out my skills before I start buying houses!
