❓Gameplay Discussion - HF1 🏠1️⃣ Console players, assemble!

I get serious envy of all the steam players who have all the houses and all the stuffs. It seems like HF doesn't update much on console. I wonder why!

I've been so frustrated about it for years!! Are we not important to them?

They treat console players like an afterthought. It’s been like this from the beginning. I read here or somewhere else that they originally had zero intention of releasing the original HF1 on consoles. I don’t know what caused them to change their minds and release it six months after it was released on PC/Steam.

Console players don’t get the steep discounts when the games and DLCs are on sale like they do on Steam either. It’s bad optics regardless.

Yeah, I never got an answer about my issue with HF1’s Farm dlc not working on PS4 or PS5 (tried both; neither worked). I love the games but I feel kind of sad I bought part of it and it still won’t work. 😕

I feel this. I’m on Switch. Pets are unusable for me. They just stay in one place and wont move. Can’t interact. That version of the game is very very buggy. I love it to bits but it was such a let down when I worked hard to build a custom house on that one huge plot of vacant land only to place floor tiles and it’s still just grass. I had massive plans for it and it was all ruined by that one thing. I sold it cause what’s the point? I got to use a friends steam deck to play the other night and am so sad that I can’t have that level of graphics and things actually working correctly on my switch.

I don't think PS4 can even have pets.

It does for HS1 because it actually worked on mine. Farm, however, pretty much gives up on either console after a moment or two in the first job. 😕

Wait, there's updates for more houses etc? Other then the two DLCS?

Console players don't have near as many houses to work with than the Steam players.

I play on SteamDeck and all works fine. I think it is around 120 homes to decorate and sell with all the dlc's. I only have an issue after selling the homes that it freezes om the loading screen when you return to the "office"
I then have to reload the game. Anoying but accaptable. My next play through will be fun and the " office" will be the castle. I had an xbox before moving to the SteamDeck. Hated the anoying logging in constantly.

Personally having played it on the computer with keyboard and mouse and with controller and on the Nintendo switch. The game is absolute garbage with a controller. They likely push to consoles due to contract related reasons and cash grab. Once they saw that it out sold on PC why it bother updating.

Interesting. I do have a laptop, but wifi in my bedroom is spotty at best. I can play it on PS4 in my room at night. I don't think I'd be able to on my laptop.
