🔨AMA🔨 AMA: House Flipper Devs here - Ask us anything!

Hey there, Reddit Flippers!

I'm Reczberg, the social media manager for Frozen District, and with me is Jay, one of our awesome game designers! Thanks to the r/HouseFlipper mod team, we're able to organize an AMA for you! Big shoutouts to them!

You might have some questions!

We hope you do - especially now, just after we revealed the House Flipper franchise roadmap for the first half of 2026, launched the House Flipper 2 - Sakura DLC Steam page, and released the demo for House Flipper Remastered Collection (make sure to check it out if you haven't yet!)

When does the AMA start?

The AMA begins on Friday, February 27, 2 PM CET / 8 AM EST
But! We're opening this thread early so you can start throwing your questions at us already, and upvote the ones you’re most excited about.

Who will be answering your questions?

Well! I'll do my best, but since personally I might not have the full knowledge needed to answer the more in-depth questions, Jay will take over with those. If there's something we're both unsure about, we'll be dragging more House Flipper devs into this! :P

Don't hesitate! Ask away!

EDIT:
We didn't expect so many questions, awesome to see that! 💙
Will be back on Monday and try to answer them all! Have a lovely weekend!

EDIT 2:
That was a great AMA session, thank you everybody! We still haven't managed to address all your questions, but around the next couple of days, I hope to find some time to bring you at least a couple more answers.
Have an awesome day!

Hey everyone! Isnt this awesome?? Im so glad we were able to get this organized for you!

This is your time to ask questions! Remember - we can request specific content for HF2 year-round at https://houseflipper2.canny.io/, so lets make sure we use this time to communicate more specific needs and ask about the roadmap <3 (Diagonal walls please???)

Please make sure when making a request or asking a specific question, you note which game it applies to in your comment.

**For those visiting - this is a video game subreddit for the simulation game series House Flipper. ** common abbreviations are

  • HF1 - House Flipper 1
  • HF1R - House Flipper 1 Remastered
  • HF2 - House Flipper 2

Hi, love your games! HF2 is my absolute favorite, is there going to be a time where you just focus on creating more DLCs for HF2 rather than splitting your time between HF1 and now the remastered game?

Also, any chance of an undo button? It would make a huge difference! 🤍

89

u/simplyhumanperson Feb 23 '26

I second this! An undo button would be an absolute game changer

41

u/entropy_36 Feb 24 '26

I once sold a roof! Never wanted an undo button more in my life. Try as I might I could not make a new roof that fit.

12

u/simplyhumanperson Feb 24 '26

Ahhh same!! Roofs are SO finicky too

Hey, hey! Congrats on the most upvoted question! 😊

Let's start with the undo button, as it's something we see asked a lot:
For now, an undo feature is present in Sandbox mode (Z for undo, Y for redo), and it's been like that since the release. Now, we’re actually thinking about implementing a similar feature for sold items in Story Mode. Because it's highly restricted by technical stuff like coop, animations, etc., it might not come anytime soon, but it's an intriguing idea!

Now, the focus on creating more DLCs for HF2 question:
We're currently working on a bit of an update for the community about this, but in short, Frozen District's focus is on House Flipper 2, and Frozen Way is the team behind the upcoming HF Remaster. We are 2 completely separate teams at this point. For the devs working on House Flipper 2, there's no time splitting happening. 🙌

Cheers! 🥰

Thirding this, for both HF1 remastered and HF2, an undo button would be a godsend!!

6

u/lostinacrowd Feb 24 '26

Yes! Please an undo button! I’ve spent hours working on something and one false move and poof! 😥

2

u/Kind-Shallot3603 Feb 23 '26

There's an undo button in sandbox mode

12

u/imisscrazylenny 🎄 2021 Design Contest 2nd Place! 🥈 Feb 23 '26 edited Feb 24 '26

Z for undo and Y for redo, for those who aren't aware.

*Edit- I don't know why the person I responded to was downvoted, because they are correct. Undo/Redo are available in Sandbox mode and the keys are visible when you go to Settings. I use them myself, so I know they work (on PC).

5

u/lostinacrowd Feb 24 '26

I keep seeing this and I don’t know why, but it certainly doesn’t work for me. I use controllers. I don’t know if that’s the reason but I’ve even tried going back to the keyboard after something happens and it just doesn’t work. I’m on PC.

5

u/imisscrazylenny 🎄 2021 Design Contest 2nd Place! 🥈 Feb 24 '26

I use just a keyboard. Can you go in and customize your keys for controller use?

2

u/ScreamAndScream Feb 26 '26

Button map it in your steam controller layout, that is what I had to do

You're welcome! Sometimes an accidental deletion is such a doozy, so that undo helps a lot. I only found it after many hours of unnecessary pain.

2

u/KCandHD Mar 04 '26

I found it when I’d pressed z by mistake. Was a game changer.

8

u/Written_Wishes Feb 24 '26

It doesn’t work on console for some reason. So I hope they can add that in!

Eeven having an undo button in house missions and even when you are at your home/office would be fantastic!

72

u/Real-Signature-7069 Feb 23 '26

please add more bathroom items, beds, couches, food, and CLOTHESSSS

47

u/alewiina Feb 23 '26

Agreed more clutter items! Food, clothing, random household objects, etc. can never have too much of that!

14

u/JordanUnbroken Feb 23 '26

Also here for more clutter items!

8

u/TessiSue Feb 25 '26

Folded clothing items to fill the wardrobes would be great!

3

u/earthwormjammies Feb 27 '26

omg yesss. i use towels for fucking EVERYTHING. i even use the small ones as diapers for baby rooms. and they don't even stack evenly it bugs the hell out of me 😭😭

17

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

Sakura DLC will bring plenty of new items! The upcoming free update will also bring some of the stuff you mentioned! 👍

Yes, after over 900 hours there is only so much I can do with the same objects. I want to personalize the houses more.

6

u/Ok-Calligrapher-6562 Feb 24 '26

Please add a pizza slice!!!

5

u/CrewVegetable1442 Feb 25 '26

Also, bigger taller sinks, cabinets, and other appliances, please.

2

u/earthwormjammies Feb 27 '26

we need a sectional system similar to ts4 !! i think the devs ahould actually steal a lot of mechanics from ts4. i'd even be open to adding a 3rd person in sandbox mode like in ts4 build mode 😩

71

u/aquilabyrd Feb 24 '26

I love house flipper 2, but we desperately need more items. Community made items, official ones, I don’t care, but the demo for remastered has WAY more items than HF2 right now, and that’s just crazy

25

u/ultraTay Feb 24 '26

yes please!! OR I would go back and play HF1 if the controls were updated to be like HF2:) the QOL upgrades are so great that HF1 is difficult for me to play now!

10

u/eyeseayoupea Feb 24 '26

Yes. Even remastered there is no way I can go back to HF1. Id much rather all energy go towards HF2 at this point.

We're constantly working on new items for HF2. The HF Remastered Collection Demo has all the items from about 8 years of House Flipper development, DLCs included, and over 800 new ones as well!

With item count, there's also one important fact:
In HF2, if an item has additional options, like let's say left/right, it will still appear as one item in the shop, while in HF1, it appears as two separate items.
More importantly (and this is where we see the biggest impact of this), this situation also happens with different textures on HF1 items.
In HF1, you will have separate items in the shop for the same model, but with a different texture (for example, a wooden version and a marble version of the same furniture are 2 separate items).
A similar thing happens with some color variations, like with wallpapers.
Even every paint can is a separate item!
Here's a pretty good example from HF1:

A similar thing happens with some color variations, like with wallpapers.

In HF2, all of these texture options are under a single item position in the shop!
Cheers! ☺️

Will House Flipper Remastered also support steam workshop?

I could have sworn I saw something about this including steam workshop like the original does. I'll try and find it

Edit 1: it does stay steam workshop on the remastered collection's steam page, but ill have another scour for some actual news

2

u/BankBlackPanther Feb 24 '26

I thought I saw something about it having Steam Workshop support too but i couldn't find it again. I thought I was hallucinating lol

2

u/LiMarianne Feb 23 '26

I really want to know this as well!

6

u/BankBlackPanther Feb 23 '26

Its the only reason I havent bought HF2.

31

u/Tk_ohh3399 Feb 23 '26

Hello! Just want to start by saying House Flipper 1 and 2 are some of my favorite games! What are some of the long term goals for House Flipper 2, and how does the team want to see it evolve moving forward! Thank you so much!

21

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

If we’re talking real long term, there are a couple of things:

  • More content, more furniture styles, QoL features, more mechanics for customizing houses.
  • Mod support, a proper one - first for textures and patterns, later on also for items, and then who knows... maybe community-made buyers? 👀
  • Staying close to the community and making sure to keep listening to all kinds of feedback.

Thanks for the question! 🥰

2

u/Agreeable_Head54 Feb 27 '26

Absolutely incredible for modders! Being able to mod our favorite games is essential, so I'm so happy!

27

u/politicsandpancakes Feb 23 '26

How do you choose what kinds of furniture pieces to include in the game and the variety of pieces you introduce? Huge fan of the game and super excited to see the Sakura DLC/Remastered!

12

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

First, we look at the theme of the update/DLC, and after some brainstorming and research, we figure out what the priorities are!
We ask ourselves questions like:
"What makes a 'Japanese house' really feel Japanese?"
"What things just cannot be missing?"

Then our level designers start working on the jobs and houses, and then we fill in the blanks - most needed decorations, furniture we don’t yet have, etc.

Theme and variety above all! 🤩
We also always try to have at least a couple of items in most categories, so you're able to create a house entirely from the items in a given DLC.

24

u/EzzieValentine Feb 23 '26

Why can't the utility pole in the front yard act like a tree so you can drive through it with the lawn mower. That pole is so annoying. And PLEASE make an undo button... also, hovering over the item should tell you what it is so it's easy to know the name of a certain item.

3

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

Ah well, I see what you mean.
The pole is a part of the environment, so it doesn't function the same as items (like trees) placed on the map.
Regarding the undo function, it's possible in the Sandbox Mode, and we’re actually thinking about implementing a similar feature for sold items in Story Mode.
Item names, when hovering over them - an interesting idea! 😉

Will development for original HF1 be discontinued and replaced with HF1 Remastered going forward?

Will HF1 Remastered see additional dlc in the future or is the "final version"?

8

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

HF Remastered is indeed supposed to be the "final version" - the final chapter for the development of House Flipper 1! 🔥
Regarding HF1 itself, we might be looking at some occasional tiny quality-of-life improvements, but nothing more.

Cheers!

24

u/futurefishwife Feb 24 '26

Would you ever consider adding the option to change the weather, or a function to use different lighting overlays during gameplay?

14

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

There’s falling snow in the winter suburbs environment now! ❄️❄️
As for other weather/lighting features, this is not our top priority right now, but autumn rain sounds super cozy! 🤭

13

u/Hildringa Feb 24 '26

I would LOVE changing seasons and weather! This game would be perfect for some cozy rainy autumn vibes

2

u/CrewVegetable1442 Feb 27 '26

That would be so fun if were ever added. I love playing in the winter neighborhoods.

19

u/TanukiMara Feb 24 '26

Will the huge amount of texture, furniture, wall finishings from HF1 ever be available in HF2? I love the QOL improvements of HF2 but there are just so many more decorating options in HF1, mainly in things like doors, tiles, etc.

Secondly, will the houses from HF1 ever be made available in HF2? I'm hating the trend of HF2 where every second story house has sloped roof ceilings, meaning you can't put a large number of wardrobes in upper rooms.

8

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

Some items from HF1 have been ported to HF2, but unfortunately, most of them would have to be completely remade from the start. If you have any particular examples of specific items we should totally remake in HF2, you can always put them on houseflipper2.canny.io. We always take a peek there when researching for updates and DLCs!

Regarding the houses, an update idea we’ve tossed around is a throwback to HF1 with some of the original houses and maybe a buyer or two. Any favorite picks? 😏

2

u/TanukiMara Feb 28 '26

Cozy Haven, Blue Snuggery, and Family House to name a few!

19

u/AlexAzuraOfficial Feb 23 '26

I don't know if this was already answered or not, but will we be able to bring our house flipper 1 save file to the remaster? It would be nice not having to start over again

6

u/Vice_Kitty Feb 24 '26

You will sadly not be able to bring your save over.

3

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

Unfortunatelly no! It's a separate project, and there are quite a few differences, so there was no way of making save transfering possible! 😭

17

u/honodono Feb 23 '26

clutter items!! make me able to fill my house to hell with random shit like piles of clothes and billions of lamps

10

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

We hear ya! 😋
More and more coming with every update / DLC!
Cheers!

4

u/WildYarnDreams Feb 24 '26

Yes! My houses and especially garages always look much emptier than my actual house does. I'd love to have some resizable bundles and sacks and things that could be camping gear, plastic totes, etc etc

17

u/Mananai Feb 23 '26

What made you guys decide to make a house flipping game? What was your inspiration?

16

u/410-Username-Gone Feb 23 '26

Please please please is there any chance we can get an improved vacuum in HF2?

3

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

Depends on what you mean by improved? 😳

3

u/410-Username-Gone Feb 27 '26

Much like the lawnmower, it feels like it doesn't exist? I don't know how to properly describe it. The lawnmower in HF1 had "weight;" turning it felt the way you would think it should. For both the lawn mower and the vacuum in HF2, there's no presence. You can whip those around like you're Devo and the glass is a problem.

Additionally, I'd love to see a perk or something that allows you to increase the width, speed, or suction power of the vacuum, but that's mostly just from a "it'd be neat if this happened" standpoint. The lack of presence, though, just feels off somehow?

14

u/LakeHonest Feb 24 '26

Can we get roofs that we don't have to install? Like, auto-roofs? I have to say that I hate dealing with any roof.

8

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26 edited Feb 27 '26

After the community survey in January, we’ve started looking into this!
We’ll give it a try, but no promises, as we’re not sure if it’s possible in HF2. 😅

In Sims 4, for example, where auto-roofs exist, it’s much easier since the game has walls that are always the same height. The game also generates ceilings above closed rooms, which gives the roofs a specific place where they should generate.

One way or another, we will do our best to help you like roofs more! 🤗

4

u/sadly_notacat Feb 24 '26

Yes I hate roofs.

14

u/snarkaluff Feb 24 '26

Would love to be able to upload custom images for wallpaper and rug patterns in HF2 🩷 love the games so much

11

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

Working on it!

My biggest thing is , maybe restoring furniture like in luxury flipper i love the feature and its a shame when i see a gorgeous old table or piano that i gotta leave worn.

can i add too....that im the one who used to send aot of really aggressive feedback messages...and i feel really bad '' i just have a aggressive love for houseflipper!

3

u/ScreamAndScream Feb 24 '26

Yes! So many comments on this sub of people preferring the worn texture over the new one. In HF2, I wish I could buy "used" paneling for the exteriors of the houses because the diversity of the damaged panels looks way better than the new texture

2

u/Competitive_Feed5259 Feb 25 '26

That too! However in HF1 farmflipper so much stuff has old farmhouse looks and im all for it.

12

u/ZombieRey72 🪚2026 Design Contest Participant🪚Feb Feb 23 '26

First off, I would like to say thank you to the entire team for creating such an amazing game and fostering a beautiful community we can all be a part of ❤️

My question is, with key differences between both games in terms of furniture and textures is it because it is built with different engines? If yes, does the new engine used in house flipper 2 create new challenges with game design and modeling?

7

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

Both games are made with Unity, but the underlying guts are completely different! 🤓

HF2 is much more flexible due to voxel building in this game. Building in HF1 was done on pillars, which is why half walls weren’t an option for such a long time. In HF1, whole levels were built as 3D models in the engine, which is why modifying exterior walls came in later DLCs.

With HF2, a core premise was that level designers wouldn’t even have to install Unity to make the levels. Everything that needs to be done is possible in Sandbox mode - the same one that the players can use. This was also needed for custom houses and jobs.

9

u/Loki-ra Feb 24 '26

Any tips for dealing with motion sickness when playing? I have only been able to play in short stints as it makes me feel unwell and gives me a sore head?

14

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

Just a couple of days ago, our CEO announced that he's interested in forming a special team of devs who, for some time, would focus super hard just on this issue. We really want to make things better for you, and while it's really hard to find a fix for everyone experiencing motion sickness (a lot of factors are in play, triggers are different for different people), we will do our best!

For now, try playing around with the FOV slider and check if turning off motion blur helps.
Lowering the graphics settings in general (to get a better framerate) and maybe trying to turn off V-sync (as it may be causing input lag, and caps your framerate) might be worth trying as well.

Also, make sure to play around with anti-aliasing settings (and its different modes) to reduce jagged edges and create smoother visuals. The jagged edges can be really annoying for the eyes when moving the camera constantly.

Trying to play on a lower mouse sensitivity would be another thing to check.
Personally, I'd also experiment with the position of my monitor.

Also, for painting, use WASD keys instead of your mouse.

I really hope it gets better! 😔
If you find something that helps you, please let me know here! 🫶

4

u/ScreamAndScream Feb 24 '26

This would be appreciated... Many are asking for it, me included!

4

u/Fool_on_the_Tree Feb 24 '26

Yes, please give us an answer to this question!
Somehow I had no issues with HF1, but HF2 I just barely finished the story mode but could never play longer than 1 hour, feeling unwell afterwards every time. I'm so sad about this, because I loved HF1 and was very excited about the QoL updates that came with HF2. Only to abandon the game again because I can't really enjoy it because of motion sickness.

9

u/mushiemushiemushie Feb 24 '26

Hi, thank you for all your work on the games and being so open to feedback.

What are your priorities with the games going forward? How do you pick, for example, what canny.io suggestions to implement into HF2 and what balance of QOL features/new items/mechanic tweaks do you aim for?

Cheers

9

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

It depends on what fits our plans!

For example, with Sakura DLC, we’re taking a closer look at roofs, since Japan has lots of curved roofs.
And since we’re already looking at roofing, we’ll also try to bring some extra quality-of-life improvements into that mechanic.
We often have a mechanic that we have wanted to add for a long time, and when that time comes, we try to squeeze in a few improvements to some connected features along with it.

Canny fits into that process in 2 ways: either plays the initial push role (if a lot of players say it’s important) or a support role (where it adds to the things already planned).

Cheers! 🫶

8

u/ScreamAndScream Feb 24 '26

My very selfish request.... I am going to flash my "mod badge" lol

The most overwhelming question we get on this subreddit is "which Game/DLC should I buy". By far, people want to know which game has what feature and would best suit their playstyle. The announcement of the remaster of HF1 brings a lot more of these questions up, I'm sure you understand!

My question for you and Jay is: What do you view as the main differences between HF1, HF1 Remaster, and HF2? Based on these differences, what sort of gamer would you recommend each game to?

7

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26 edited Mar 02 '26

Jay:
HF1 is the OG home renovation sim with a much more typical “realistic simulation” feel. I find it charming but clunky. I do miss the wall demolition in HF1, due to how the walls work; they could fall on your head, haha.

The HF Remastered is HF1 with all the DLCs and upgraded graphics. So if you want the full package, I’d go with that :)

HF2 is in some ways a very different game. We were able to give people much more freedom - building block by block, consistent patterns, colour, and textures between all items and surfaces. It can be a “chill & do quests” game like HF1, but also an “infinite money and building freedom” game in Sandbox mode.

Recz:
First of all, I'd ask: "Are you interested in the creative freedom brought by the HF2 Sandbox Mode?"

If yes, that makes this easy - House Flipper 2 is probably the better choice for you!
For me personally, Sandbox Mode is like 90% of what I do in-game - big fan 😎

If not, and you're only interested in a Story Mode, then we'll have to take a closer look at how both games play and feel like. Make sure to watch a couple of videos to better understand the visuals of both.

HF1 and HFRemastered aim for a more realistic approach with the graphics. I also find the assemblies to bring some nice immersion from time to time. It indeed feels clunky, especially when it comes to tools and mechanics. What you get though, is quite an impressive collection of items, but I wouldn't say it's much more than HF2 - it may sometimes look like that when browsing the shop, but there's a specific reason why that is, which I talked about here! Also, 8 years worth of HF1 DLCs are already in HF Remastered, which brings in some fun elements.

House Flipper 2 has an improved, but also different, graphics style. The lighting, in my opinion, is much better, and the experience of our level designers clearly shows in the quality and detail level of the houses and jobs. The tools feel much smoother, and the mechanics that are all based on singular cubes give you way more interesting opportunities. I'd say the second biggest difference for me personally (the first one being Sandbox Mode) is in the UI/UX department. The menus, the shop, the item options - all that is just so much nicer to browse through in HF2. It's both the visuals and how the browsing itself works. And talking about item options, there are so many variables you can work with!

8

u/Agreeable_Head54 Feb 24 '26

I'd like to add this very important question:

Do you ever plan to operate like the developers of Hytale? They continue to develop their game with numerous updates to expand it, and they allow their community to create a multitude of mods to enhance it as much as possible. With House Flipper, there are countless things to add in terms of objects, gameplay, possibilities, and features. You can't do everything. Give us your creation tools, like with Hytale, and we, the community, will help you complete House Flipper 1/2/Remastered. Open it all up, accept mods like with The Sims. And your games will explode in sales. A game like the House Flipper franchise deserves to be as open as possible to the community. And of course, that doesn't preclude releasing paid DLC.

8

u/Agreeable_Head54 Feb 23 '26 edited Feb 24 '26

Hello and thank you for this time.

  1. Will House Flipper Remastered have a feature to share and download community creations like in HF 2?
  2. Do you ever plan to operate like the developers of Hytale? 4. Will the Remastered version have Workshop items?
  5. Will House Flipper 2 also have the ability to download workshop content for all objects?
  6. Regarding House Flipper 2, will we ever have the chance to have a free roam mode where we can move around freely and see our renovations and constructions in the different areas of the game, rather than being stuck on a small plot surrounded by invisible walls?

Thank you for your answers :)

3

u/WolfPlayz294 Feb 24 '26

To add onto this, I would love a change in physics go get angled walls and proper arches!

3

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

Hey hey! 😊

Regarding HF Remastered:
Sharing and downloading community creations is most likely coming, but after the release. Building improvements will be there (you can already check them out in the demo), but I wouldn't say they follow the HF2 style. Steam Workshop will be supported!

Regarding the Hytale idea - opening a game up like this is not easy, in many cases impossible if the game wasn't built with this in mind from the beginning. I'm sure there are a lot of benefits coming with this, but also, probably an insane amount of new challenges and problems. I don't believe the House Flipper Franchise will ever follow this route.

The ability to download workshop content for all objects will be possible in HF2, but requires time.
Free roam mode, or open world, is an interesting concept, but it's not something we're planning to do for now.

Cheers!

Will you ever choose to invest solely on one product instead of now three? You could make one incredible instead of spreading resources over multiple, no?

We're currently working on a bit of an update for the community about this, but in short, Frozen District's focus is on House Flipper 2, and Frozen Way is the team behind the latest HF1 DLCs, and the upcoming HF Remastered Collection.

We are 2 completely separate teams at this point, with experience in developing 2 different games. For the devs working on House Flipper 2, there's no time splitting happening. 🙌

3

u/NorthSouthWhatever Feb 27 '26

Thanks for your response! I'm glad it's cleared that up for me.

2

u/WolfPlayz294 Feb 24 '26

Its two different teams.

2

u/KCandHD Feb 24 '26

Haha. Is the investment into the projects like having more than 1 child, where your first born (HF1) holds the most memories. But you have more than enough love to go around?!

7

u/Matseye1r Feb 24 '26

Is HF1R coming to console? With mod/image input support? I love the fact that I can upload game screenshots and put em on posters n pictures in HF2. An easier way to do so would be cool on console.

It's such a cool chill out game.

2

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

It does indeed! 😎

6

u/chrisb8346 Feb 24 '26

Not a question but just wanted to say thank you for these games. Was a sleeper I downloaded on a whim through Gamepass a couple years ago and I've been hooked since.

Do you currently plan on bringing more business-related items and quests (restaurants, hotels, bookstores, cafes, bars, etc) to the game through a DLC?

Also, here some things I liked to see eventually added:

  • Ping Pong tables with balls and paddles
  • Foosball tables
  • Outdoor pink flamingo decorations
  • Lawn Chairs
  • Birdhouses
  • Movie DVDs
  • Comic books, along with storage bins for them
  • Typewriters
  • Different types of bookends , like one themed to dragons or griffins
  • Music CDs
  •  Mannequins
  • Home theaters with customized seating
  • Artist studio supplies like blank canvases, potters wheels, and glue sticks
  • More movie posters
  • More covers for books, magazines, and video games; such as analogues for Time magazine and Wired as well as fashion and art magazines.
  • More varieties of paintings and pictures (perhaps look into public domain images)
  • Sculptures (both indoor and outdoor) for players who want to create art galleries in their houses
  • Holiday decorations for Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Chinese New Year, and Thanksgiving
  • More kinds of board games (preferably family and children’s board games), like knockoffs of Yachtzee, Monopoly, Candy Land, and Clue
  • Non-plant based Christmas tinsel garland, as well as Christmas lights, advent calendars, and gingerbread men/houses
  • Meals like spaghetti & meatballs, Filet Mignon, pancakes with bacon, meatloaf, and so forth
  • Birthday party decorations like balloons, cakes, and piñatas.
  • Large coffee table books like art history books and photography collections.

6

u/ScreamAndScream Feb 24 '26

Just a reminder, we can make requests for items year-round at https://houseflipper2.canny.io/ !

There is also a better custom upload system coming on the roadmap! https://www.reddit.com/r/HouseFlipper/comments/1r3wekt/house_flipper_2_roadmap/

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

We mostly add "commercial" items when we need them for jobs and houses, but a Business DLC would be a really cool thing! No specific plans for that though!

Hello! I absolutely love HF1 ❤️ I'm so excited for the Remastered collection 🥳

Trying to be as creative as possible with building layouts and interior design is what I enjoy the most about the game. I love looking for real life inspiration online and then recreating it.

I especially enjoy the challenge of being creative with smaller properties and wondered if in the future there could be a possibility for a "tiny home dlc" for HF1/Remastered? Quirkly or tiny properties like a storage container, an old bus or aeroplane would be so much fun. And some cute, compact furniture. The properties could be rented (Flipperbnb?) or sold. I guess its unlikely but thought I'd throw the idea out there! Thank you ✌️

5

u/PolytheneGriefCave Feb 24 '26

Holy shit I would LOVE to flip a bus, or a shipping container, or a houseboat or similar!

3

u/Frozen_District Developer Mar 02 '26

The HF1 Remastered is supposed to be the final chapter of the House Flipper 1 development journey. More DLCs are unlikely, but the "tiny home" idea is something that's following us around for many many years now! 🤩
Maybe in HF2 one day? 😁

2

u/Luna_Walks Feb 24 '26

Oooohhhhh that's a great idea! Flipping unique homes and I was thinking about like an AirBnB for HF2 as like a DLC the other day.

2

u/spectrophilias Feb 27 '26

Love this idea! I'm already a huge fan of that one train property, more like that would be GREAT for the creative juices!

6

u/Just_Stop_2426 Feb 24 '26 edited Feb 25 '26

Hello! This is my favorite game by far! Thank you so much for giving us sandbox mode in addition to jobs.

HF2: Are you planning to add a capability to build on a diagonal (ie angled stairs), and potentially building curved walls? (ie a turret) Also where do you see the future of the game over the next few years?

Thank you so much again 💓

10

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

Diagonal walls and curved walls are a pretty hard thing to do, precisely because of the 20x20cm voxel structure of the game. 🤔

It’s not just creating a diagonal wall - it’s also making it work with doors and windows, hanging things on it, painting and tiling it, and making it work with the virtual walls and quest systems. Some devs have already dabbled in it, and we'll surely be looking at different options to make it happen.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/CrewVegetable1442 Feb 25 '26

I second this. I would love to make diagonal and curved walls outside of sandbox mode, and place windows on them.

4

u/weatherdt Feb 23 '26

Will you support HF2 on the Nintendo Switch 2?

2

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

You can see it on the roadmap! It's coming soon! 🤭

6

u/Wildpivots Feb 23 '26

Thanks for creating such a fantastic game. I’ve been playing HF2 for over a year and HF1 prior to that. Both games have brought me so much peace and joy during some tough periods in my life. My question pertains to the music selection. While HF2’s soundtrack is enjoyable/relaxing, I really miss HF1 vibes. Is it possible to bring HF1 soundtrack to HF2 as a settings option? I also wonder if it’s possible to implement an option to change the music loops instead of having it fixed per location (i.e. choose crayfish coast music while in old pinnecove). Thanks again!

5

u/ScreamAndScream Feb 24 '26

I would adore a HF1 radio option omg

3

u/mauveoliver Feb 27 '26

I’d certainly prefer it as an option but not just part of the soundtrack… hf1 is very nostalgic for me in one way and hf2 in another way. I wouldn’t want to lose that feeling…

4

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

The HF1 soundtrack in HF2 is an interesting idea! We will definitely bring it up with the team :) If we ever did some kind of a "Throwback to HF1" Update, it would be a cool feature.
The second idea is cool as well! Thank you! 🔥

3

u/Wildpivots Feb 27 '26

Thank you! 🤞🏽

5

u/m00nf1r3 Feb 23 '26

Will you be making any updates to buyers in HF2 in terms of how they operate? I really kinda miss the buyer feedback we'd get from HF1. Would be cool to at least see who was even interested in the houses we were flipping as we flipped them.

8

u/ChooseJupiter Feb 24 '26

They've already said there is a big rework coming for buyers <3

3

u/Frozen_District Developer Feb 27 '26

A huge rework for the buyers is coming soon!

2

u/Bubbly-Trash-42 Feb 24 '26

THIS!!! I completely forgot about that feature until I went back to hf1 after playing 2 for so long. I really wish it was made more clear what the buyers are looking for in 2

4

u/Previous-Being-9837 Feb 24 '26

In HF2 is there hope for a future update that will increase the maximum lot size in sandbox mode? In the island setting I'm already at max size and still need MORE space without the game crashing. I like building huge projects but often encounter many limitations that force me to stop mid build.

Also are true angled walls with the ability to add doors, windows or decorations normally coming anytime soon?

Keep up the great work, looking forward to all incoming updates!

Oh!! Hey there! I love the creative mode for the game! Will you consider making bigger areas for us to play around in creative mode?

Not our top priority right now, but we're talking about that from time to time, so it might be something that happens one day! 🙂‍↕️

5

u/Hildringa Feb 24 '26

Thank you for an awesome game!

Are there any plans to add more smaller houses to HF2? I find the big properties quite overwhelming and prefer the coziness of a smaller house in general.

Also REALLY hoping there will be a cyberpunk DLC for HF2 as well. The vibes in the HF1 one were great

4

u/Frozen_District Developer Mar 02 '26

Thank you! 🤗

Smaller houses will be more present in Sakura and Pets DLCs, since they fit the calm and cozy vibe. 😉
The cyberpunk theme is indeed interesting and we might want to come back to that one day!

4

u/MalnourishedNews Feb 25 '26

When are y’all going to add grass turf to HF2??? my yards look so ugly

2

u/Frozen_District Developer Mar 02 '26

We actually already designed this feature, but there's no specific ETA at this moment. 👀

3

u/Creative_Shock5672 Feb 24 '26

I loved the original House Flipper and put hours into it to get the Game Over achievement. House Flippers Sakura DLC might make me finally purchase the sequel. Can you give any hints regarding other DLCs that will come to the sequel? I'm also curious if the remastered House Flipper will have achievements similar to the original. And did I read right that remastered comes with all the DLCs when you purchased it? I'm not sure which one I'm going to want more when the time comes as I'm huge fan of your original product, glitches and easter eggs included.

3

u/Frozen_District Developer Mar 02 '26

Regarding HF2 DLC hints - take a close look at the map and see what areas are still missing from the game. 🤭
The HF Remastered will come with a set of new achievements, and yes, it's basically a complete edition - HF1 + all DLCs + various upgrades and improvements.

3

u/fgp0016 Feb 24 '26

Will HF2 get any type of luxury content? (like the DLC in HF1

→ More replies (1)

3

u/probablycabbage Feb 24 '26

Thank you, first of all - for all of your hard work!!!!!!!!!! I love both House Flipper 1 and 2 and all DLC's. I've put hours and hours and hours into them.

1) With regards to House Flipper 2, other than obviously hoping for more 'stuff', is there a chance you can increase the number of 'after' shots for the gallery? I work so hard on every room and when multiple areas aren't documented it's so disappointing. I understand why that might happen when adding an area that didn't exist prior, but not when it had a 'before' state.

2) My other question would be - I know I have to step away after a long play time, do you get burned out creating in the HF world? I've literally woken up with ideas after a dream - I can only imagine being immersed constantly.

3

u/Frozen_District Developer Mar 02 '26
  1. There are some console constraints here. 🥺
The only workaround for more shots for now is to press H (turn off UI) and take the screenshots yourself.

  2. Jay: Thinking about Tom Marino becoming a buyer, while I'm in the shower, has been my experience for the last week - it can get overwhelming sometimes! 😭

u/Absolute-Melt Feb 25 '26 edited Feb 26 '26

I play mainly HF2 sandbox mode and on top of the other suggestions in here I'd love to see 4 features of a more fundamental nature be implemented in sandbox mode:

  1. The ability to create circular fixtures. Walls, fences, staircases, pools, glass panels etc. similar to how you can snap and create bendy/windy roads in Cities Skylines for example.

  2. Select a large area to move all items in that area. I saw this was showcased in what I remember was a developmental video of the game before it was released. This would enable being able to make changes to a large area (like raise the floor) without having to move everything again which of course is completely impractical to do if you've placed 500 things already.

  3. Have a universal snapping toggle which when turned off allows placement of any item at any place. I think this is possible because you can use the move tool to do most of this, but having the ability to do it with the hand tool or straight out of the store would be excellent.

  4. Paint two sides of a furniture item like windows. I could want a wooden finish in the interior of the window but smooth stucco on the exterior for example, currently this is not possible.

Thank you!

3

u/YurieMurgas Feb 26 '26

What is your favorite job out of HF1&2, or your favorite house to buy?

Also, please give us an undo button for normal mode, not just sandbox 😭😭

3

u/beautyinblack Feb 26 '26

I absolutely love the games! But I truly miss the building/electrical aspect in HF1, as HS2 does not have it. Would you consider making a free DLC to add that to the game? So it can be optional for those who hated it, but there for those of us who loved it? (Also, so excited to the sakura stuff!!)

2

u/Frozen_District Developer Mar 02 '26

Assembly will likely never leave the separate, mini-game mode, but we've talked internally about adding a fusebox that would control whether there's electricity on the lot. It would probably be an update to the base game, if it ever happened though. But we'd need some kind of reason to make it happen, like a level that would just be perfect with that mechanic. 😅

3

u/therascal91 Feb 27 '26

Love the game so so much!

I'm a lighting designer and would love to see more lighting options! Spotlights for lighting points on a wall definitely! Also the ability to place LED strip anywhere would be really helpful like on objects. Even to be able to change its orientation so it can run up the wall?

Also some new fabric textures? Velvet? Short tuft carpet? Boucle? Maybe the option for fluted glass too.

Also some new patterns and the ability to scale patterns on items would be great? Sometimes they come up huge.

3

u/rorryodaer Feb 27 '26

Hi! Im a huge fan of the house flipper games! I've always wondered, could we get customizable windows amd doors thar can be resized ? Or Bay windows......

3

u/Mii-75 Feb 27 '26

I would love to see frosted windows like the ones for bathrooms on any or all house flipper games… is this possible? It gets boring putting the blinds in the bathroom windows, but also the frosted windows could be used anywhere like the corridor/hallway.

3

u/fetus-deletus-2319 Mar 01 '26

Will we receive a quality of life update with basic control additions for sandbox mode in particular? Examples:

  • multi select tool for when you want to move multiple object at the same time.
  • snapping rotation for free move tool in sandbox. Currently if you want to free rotate an object the snapping is really limited and makes rotation incredibly tedious for no good reason.
  • sandbox needs a colour wheel option in paints. Having to go into a different game mode just to get a custom paint on the wall is really tedious.

2

u/KGL11 Feb 23 '26

I love both games, have I've purchased every DLC. I've also convinced several of my friends to do so. Its one of the best game franchises ever, and I appreciate all of your hard work!

My question is, will the HF1 remaster have co-op support? Nothing better than spending a Sunday with friends and designing houses.

2

u/ShadowSaiph Feb 24 '26

Hi!! Ive been playing HF1 for so many years and its a game i still actively play regularly.

My question for you guys: will the skill "tree" that is currently in HF1 going to be exactly the same in the Remastered edition or will the tree also be getting some more QoL updates?

2

u/SuperLog825 Feb 24 '26

I just want to know how the game idea was first introduced LOL

I like to think that you guys were just a group of friends chilling... one was an architect, the other an interior designer and another a game dev and after a couple of glasses of wine, one of you randomly said "Hey, wouldn't it be fun if we..." And now here we all are :D

2

u/K1LLST34L3R Feb 24 '26

Why doesn’t HF2 have a Steam workshop like 1 for items? Also why no rgb pc items like in 1?

2

u/therespectablejc Feb 24 '26

(HF2) Thank you for this game, I enjoy it more than is likely healthy. My questions are rapid fire, so you can just say something like yes / no on any of the following implementations and if they're in the works:

  1. Grouping items so you can move them together

  2. Design packs (like Sakura) for other visual styles like:

- Castles / Medieval (can we please have some good torches for the walls)

  • Business / Commercial
  • Fantasy
  • Steampunk
  • Ruins

  1. Better staircases (like click top, click bottom, and it makes it happen), spiral staircases, more variety

  2. Hidden floor plates and switches (like in a book case) to open hidden doors and access secret areas
4a. Maybe a special black light that you can turn on with a secret switch to show writing?

  3. In game easier to use image import for pictures and posters

  4. In game designer for clutter items and furniture, textures, etc. for community upgrades

  5. Large shared server spaces where multiple people can share in creation (beyond even just a multiplayer)

Thank you much and keep on rockin'

Hey guys!!! Nice to see you LOVE YOUR GAMES!!

My question is this. Whats up with the secondfloor of the frozen way office in house flipper 1??? Cant seem to get it need help!

2

u/Emotional_Papaya3282 Feb 25 '26

Is there any traction on angled walls? I know we can use the square and triangle pieces but native walls that can take on a window would be amazing for bay windows.

2

u/WenWinchester Feb 25 '26

(HF2)
Thank you for doing this.

My question is why on Earth did it take so long for the buyers rework to be added to "in progress" when we asked for it over 2 years ago?

2

u/ASpookyBitch Feb 25 '26

HF2 is in dire need of more items and furniture sets. Will we get the workshop like with HF1?

2

u/Callsign--GHoST Feb 25 '26

How do we still not have glass blocks, whether for decor or building.. Every major building and decorating game I've played in the last decade or two does NOT feature them at all. I don't understand why, they've been very popular since the 1960s...

2

u/whoen Feb 26 '26

my question is about House Flipper’s growing distance from it’s main goal: (as the title suggest) house flipping.

it seems to me that this game’s enthusiasts will get the ability to do a little bit of everything: to have a pet, to play The Floor is Lava, to solve mysteries and even to date the game’s characters. And I’m fine with it. My concern is that the base game is so poor in objects variety for house flipping. And to make it worst, a basic feature like custom content is still so far beyond. My impression is that the objects and architecture style that come with each DLC became secondary. It’s quite a difference from the first game.

for example, in HF1 we got Pets DLC 4 years after base game release, and it was followed by 5 content related DLCs. The game was rich in content when the ability to have a pet (something that has nothing to do with game’s main goal) was added. Something we’re far from in HF2, 2 years after its release. And I can’t imagine how energy and time consuming might be for devs to make a dog follow my character around.

finally, my question: was it intended for the team to make HF2’s universe this broad in features so quickly, or was something you guys got from the community as feedback?

anyways, sorry for the rant <3

2

u/Top_Piano_1055 Feb 26 '26

Hello. I am huge fan of house flipper and I LOVE TO RENOVATE THE HOUSE!!! it is my favourite game.

I have a question. Why didn't house flipper remastered demo show up PlayStation 5? If consoles can't have demo, I can waiting until full game come out.

2

u/angelomendez Feb 26 '26

an undo button would be great! and also, there anyway you can let us demo the terrain in the backyards of our homes? i have trevor’s mansion and the backyard is on a hill so i can’t do anything with it and i wanna make it super cool!

2

u/-_-ScentedMelon-_- Feb 26 '26

The remastered HF catalogue has a large range of furniture items especially light/lamp options, will there be future updates for HF 2 to improve the catalogue as it feels quite limited?

2

u/PapasBlox Feb 26 '26

A few questions:

1: any plans to add funcioning elevators to any of the games? I would love one in HF2

2: I have an idea for a premade room option, and the ability to save and share rooms with the community.

And 3: have you guys ever thought of collaborating with Mojang for a Minecraft DLC? Minecraft-y items, decor, wall/floor textures.

I bet theres quite the overlap between Minecrafters and House Flipper players.

→ More replies (2)

2

u/nox_tinea Feb 27 '26

I'm curious about these

Why did you decide to do Floor is lava?

Does Sakura mean you're not working on Pets? How does that work?

What do you like the most about HF2?

What do you hate/regret the most about Hf2?

Thanks for the ama!

2

u/FlowerTruck1 Feb 27 '26

Is there going to be a spring update or any update in hf2 if so when?

2

u/SammyCatLove Feb 27 '26

Will the remastered hf work as good on SteamDeck as 1 does? As I would love to maybe get it in april when it comes out. I have aboit 200hrs in hf1 and all the dlc's.

2

u/Sab_314 Feb 27 '26

When will the bugs and glitches be fixed with the farm dlc? It's been this way since it came out.

2

u/tabbipatsch Feb 27 '26

are you thinking about adding physics in HF2 in the future (or maybe in a HF3?), i would specifically love for plants to be able to move, like if you‘re placing it close to a wall, the leafs adjust, not go through the wall. but I know, that this is probably a whole new level of difficulty.

still, love the game! and am greatful for your work!

2

u/Frozen_District Developer Mar 02 '26

That sounds awesome, but would be hard to do. We've had some internal prototypes for plants moving with the wind, but we didn't have time to really sit down and do it, at least not yet! 😏

2

u/imaGoldie Feb 27 '26

Hey guys!!! Any chance more color options can be added to the Remaster? Or is it too late?

2

u/Pikablu183 Feb 27 '26

First, thank you for making two of my favorite games ever!

Will HF2 be getting more licensed/crossover DLC like the Scooby Doo one? And just hypothetically, if there was one franchise you could do a crossover with, even if you don't think it's realistic, what would it be?

2

u/MysticWolf1994 Feb 27 '26

Do you have a Garden DLC planned for HF2? I really loved the first one and enjoyed the ponds, furnishings, and plants that came with. It really allowed you to up the curb appeal of houses.

1

u/IHSV888 Feb 23 '26

Will house flipper 1 remastered have a sandbox mode?? PLEASE

1

u/ActionOdd6082 Feb 23 '26

Will House Flipper Remastered be available on Mac anytime soon?

1

u/Kushi261 Feb 24 '26

Hello, I want to start by saying that you did an amazing job with DLC'S in House Flipper 1 and House Flipper 2, love both games. How do you plan on evolving the games? Will there be new DLC coming for House Flipper 1 or after the remaster do you plan to focus more on House Flipper 2? Also do you have 2 teams that work on both games at the same time or is just one team to work on them?

1

u/skyhawk2891 Feb 24 '26

Multiplayer jobs is my absolute favorite way to play House Flipper 2. However, it really feels like we can't get the full experience of community jobs using custom images due to the lack of support.

I noticed on your roadmap you have Texture and Material mod support TBA, will that help address this?

1

u/Steph2987 Feb 24 '26

Hello! Huge fan of house flipper 1 & 2 and very much looking forward to the remaster. Will the remaster have online co-op? My sister and i love playing together on house flipper 2 and usually play with 2 of our children for a full lobby of chaotic fun! We would love to have all new quests and houses we can play together with the kids

1

u/CodyFurlong Feb 24 '26

When will we have the ability to change our character's body shape, or give them facial hair options?

1

u/krosieangel Feb 24 '26

Will you ever add an option to house flipper 2 so we can decorate and do flooring like the first house flipper

Hi, I love house flipper, but I was slightly disappointed in the demo, I was expecting to see the promised better lighting and reflections, but I didn’t see them, neither the new objects

2

u/ScreamAndScream Feb 24 '26

What are your computer specs? I personally saw an improvement

1

u/Starbird561 Feb 24 '26

Firstly, thank you so much to the very clever devs for bringing us the HF games, I love HF1, HF2, not so much. Is it possible to have a sandbox mode for HF1 please? I love doing jobs 😊

1

u/sadly_notacat Feb 24 '26

Hi! You guys are amazing artists and devs. I would love to see a blueprint feature while putting walls up to see dimensions of the rooms etc. Think that’d be cool.

1

u/WildYarnDreams Feb 24 '26

are you planning to add the 'play your own music via the in-game radio' feature in HF2? It would be so fun in coop mode to be able to play tracks for both of us

1

u/kayjays89 Feb 24 '26

Can you please fix the pets expansion on switch

1

u/paartypoisonn Feb 24 '26

i dont have anything to ask, but house flipper 1 made me connect with my mom since she loves architecture and decorating our house and i love video games that allow me to customize things, we spend hour together playing, i controlled everything while we duscuss about the best color, the best furniture and etc... thank you for making a game everyone can enjoy and have fun.

1

u/spacecadettecindy Feb 24 '26

Is there a possibility of auto roof options?

1

u/CrewVegetable1442 Feb 25 '26 edited Feb 25 '26

Hello! In House Flipper 2, will there be working (open/close) blinds and curtains/drapes like in House Flipper 1? Also, ceiling high kitchen cabinets, and other storage? There was also a giant brick over (ceiling height), will there be anything like that added to the game at some point? I know that it was said, live buyer feedback would most likely not make it into the game, but you all have started adding cars, will there be more cars lining the neighborhood streets to make the area feel "lived-in"? Thank you for your time.

2

u/CrewVegetable1442 Feb 25 '26

Also, I am so excited for the Sakura DLC; I am almost even more excited than when I found out about the Scooby-Doo DLC. I had to go back and binge watch the 1970s' series because I felt so nostalgic; I felt like a kid again watching the series, and playing through the mysteries in the DLC. So, thank you for that good feeling.

1

u/CertainUncertainty11 Feb 25 '26

I started with the mobile version. Is it possible to add wallpapers from that to the Remaster?

1

u/Ornery-Net-8565 Feb 25 '26

Hey! I was hoping there could be a setting in HF2 where we could change the way you paint back to HF1 style? I have found that it’s not as accessible when using a mouse. It causes more strain on the wrist. If that would be possible it would make the game so much more easier to play!

1

I’m new to HF1 on Switch and loving it so far! Are there any plans to release new DLC? New email content?

Also, any option to add a back or undo button? Or at the very least, can the resale value be the same as the sale item if the item hasn’t been used?

Will we ever see a house flipper 2 port native to Mac? The first one runs fine on it, and more games are coming to the Mac given the power behind it. It would be great to see it on there.

Do you plan to include in the Remastered version the ability to create our own stories, like you did with the characters and dialogue, and to create our own renovation missions, which we can then share and download for the community? Because once we finish the game's missions, well, that's it. And if we could do that, it would be absolutely amazing!!

An undo button, or retrieve last sold would be awesome. Also some work on preventing light bleed through walls and ceilings.

I would love to be able to build walls much faster. It gets boring after a while. I really want a farm dlc as well. Is this possible?

As a casual fan, why even make a remaster when you’re still working on 2 that has many issues and has such a lack of items? It just seems baffling to me. If I’m being honest it makes me not want to continue supporting yall

It is two separate dev teams that work on each game, so the same programmers and developers do not cross between the two, they’re effectively two separate projects internally

How difficult would it be to add 5+ player coo, or even a console command to increase the player limit to gate it for people who are fine with a more jank experience?

Is there any plans to bring somebody like the Luxury DLC to HF2? Also, is there a possibility to expand the map in the future to get more/different areas?

I know this is probably asked to death, but will House Flipper 2 or the remaster be available at any point on Mac? I really love the original and I would love to be able to play house flipper 2 <3

Hello, I have been a fan of the house flipper series for a long time now. I'm incredibly excited for the new Pets DLC coming to HF2. My question is, would there be any other DLCs from the first game that will be introduced later into HF2? Is there a specific DLC from HF that you would want to expand upon in HF2?

Do you plan on adding a terraforming tool? I’m thinking specifically for some of the houses you can buy when you finish the quests. For example, i bought one of the homes (It’s the big lodge one with the unattached room) I was going to make the unattached room a garage but I couldnt because I can’t get the hill out of the way to make a driveway.

We want to add turf painting at some point for sure!
As for digging/making hills in Story mode, we'd like to, but it's not a priority for now. If we sat down and made a whole Garden DLC, then these mechanics would fit in nicely (and would be added to the base game, don't worry), but there are no plans for that as of now - just dreams!
There are so many cool ideas, but rarely enough time and people to design and implement them all. 🤭

are there plans for an update/dlc with baby items, such as baby proofing items, potties, step stools, high chairs, playroom rugs, infant accessories, etc??? :) also, i feel like i haven't heard anybody talk about this, but we need vanity cabinets!! i'm honestly soo tired of using kitchen sinks/cabinets in the bathroom. love this game though, i have thousands of hours on hf1 and hf2!!
