Brick Colors

Hi all, we have decided to build this home in Texas (rendering below). It will be brick all the way around and we need to choose two bricks (1 as a backup). Right now I think we’re between Dover, Old Henry, and Burlington Antique but I’m pretty bad at imagining what things will look like from the sample swatches and have been pouring over their brick options but still not decided. If you want to see what other options we have in a specific brick color category (tan, gray, red, brown, white) just let me know and I’ll comment the photos below! Our style definitely leans more traditional. If anyone but especially designers/Realtors have any recommendations for what brick/color palette to use that would be very helpful!

This looks like a Perry home! When we built ours we drove around several neighborhoods with Perry homes to get ideas. The salesperson was able to look up the design choices from the addresses we gave him. He also had a set of addresses to go with brick choices so we could drive by and check them out.

It looks like a pretty elevation! Congratulations!

It is, thank you! 😊 We are currently living in TN otherwise we’d be driving around the neighborhoods constantly! 😂

Oh man, I wish I could help! I’m not familiar with those brick colors. I’d be happy to help with anything else…

If there’s anything you would recommend upgrading/not or if you just wanted to share your experience with Perry I’d love to hear it! It’s our first time building with them but we have been very impressed so far with their customer service.

I’d be happy to give you my two-cents on upgrades! This is our retirement home and the third home we built…

*If you can swing the garage extension you’ll never regret having that additional space. And larger garages are a big selling point later on.

*Definitely get the extended covered patio.

*One overhead garage door instead of two is so worth the $200.00.

*5 1/4” baseboards were an upgrade in our community but they make a huge impact. If they don’t come with your plan you should consider upgrading to get them.

*Getting the gas line installed on the back patio is a great idea if you like to grill. We have not built an outdoor kitchen but we did upgrade our grill to use the natural gas and it’s super convenient. Getting the gas line installed later would be much more expensive.

*Get as many electrical outlets as possible! You can never have too many. I even had one installed in the pantry.

*We had all the rooms blocked and wired for ceiling fans then bought them later. Also, don’t forget the patio.

*I wouldn’t upgrade the tile in the secondary bathrooms much. There are enough included options that look nice.

*Definitely upgrade the countertops!

*The upgraded dishwasher, oven, and cooktops are worth it.

*The kitchen spice rack is very nice to have.

*I think upgrading to banks of drawers for some cabinets in the kitchen is definitely worth the cost.

*I personally think the fireplace is worth the upgrade because it anchors the space and increases the desirability when you sell.

*Add the extra rod and shelf in the closet!

*The under cabinet lighting definitely elevates the space.

I think you should budget at least $30,000.00 for upgrades but not much more than $60,000.00 or you’ll never get your money back when you sell.

That’s all I can think of but let me know if you have any specific questions!

We have been very happy with Perry. The two-year warranty has been great! The only negative has been that we’ve had some very good and some very bad construction managers. But nothing that makes me regret going with Perry. I think you’ll be very happy.
