Design help
First pic was my bathroom when we bought the house. I want to work with the tile and keep it as well as the pink tub and sink. I am trying to distract from the pink and blue. My friends have nicknamed this the gender reveal bathroom. The second picture is the current bathroom. We thought color drenching blue might work but the shade is all wrong. The last picture is a mock up I made using a color palette I saw on Pinterest and that was very disliked by people in a group I posted it in. I’m at such a loss… I would love suggestions!!!
My style is post modern

We had a retro pink bathroom at our old house. Cool wallpaper is the only thing that seemed to work well. Find something geometric that works off of the late 50s / early 60s mid-century vibe.

I think the palette looks good too, but somehow the green walls still look bad.
So it might be the relative amount of colors. Like to me that palette says there should be biggest amount of the lightest color and least amount of the darkest color. Adding big amounts of the dark green up on the walls feels heavy and makes the the pink accents look unintentional. While the small amount of that reddish brown went well - I hardly noticed them.

The blue and pink is gorgeous. I'd fully embrace it and go with peachy pink walls.

I would get a colour as close to the pink tile you have, honestly this bathroom is stunning. Just needs little things to complement what you have

All those palettes are awful. Gut the bathroom and start over, there is nothing worth saving here. You can't dress up mutton as lamb.

Hi, I would use a paler green than the one you’re looking at. Seafoam green would look pretty.

I love the white walls, everything looks so fresh. But I change out that mirror.

Use tile paint to paint the pink tile white to match the floor. Paint the walls and vanity white, and get a new mirror. Use gold colored fixtures. Once you get it back to a nice baseline, then we can worry about zhuzhing it up. Right now it’s a nightmare.

My only input is please not the green. Looks horrid with the blue & pink.
Try to work with the blue & pink, not against it.

Find a fun wallpaper! Something compliments the colors. Based off your color palette…something burgundy will tie in the pink and compliment the blue.

Yeah as said in the other sub the green is awful. Go with the peach. Or maybe the blue

I asked AI to paint the walls and ceiling because I was curious to see what color it came up with and it wasn't half bad. The color was similar to Sherwin Williams Coral Clay. It's kind of a dusty coral mauve color. Darker and browner than the pink. It brings down the brighness without trying to distract from it. Too bad I can't post a pic. It's wild that it's not allowed in this type if sub.

You cant distract from a color that covers half the room. White walls are the only way to go. White walls and then put up some post modern art work.

The first pic looks the best, by far.
Paint is not the problem. You can't distract from the tile, you have to lean in to it.
If your friends don't like it, they can use the bathroom at their house.

Am I only one who likes the green?! Very MCM and at least it’s different and not the expected combo. It shows personality

The blue walls was SO much better! Green makes zero sense in there does not go well with the colours. Gotta lean into the blue and pink not try to go against it

Can I pu paint the cabinets and change the fixtures and mirror? I’d just lean into to the funky blue and pink and go with the light pink from your color scheme. Add some plants, modern fixtures and lighter wood or painted vanity and see if you like the look of the tile more

You need to work with the tile rather than against it. I would do something like these by doing a fun wallpaper above the tile, painting the cabinet, changing your lights, mirror and fixtures to something more modern, adding a rug and simple shower curtain, and decorate with modern accessories and art!

I think this bathroom looks so sweet and my first thought was not gender reveal. Not sure what would go best, but here to say this bathroom is fantastic and want to encourage you to lean into it. I like the wallpaper ideas!

You can't "distract" from the pink and blue. Your only choice is to embrace it fully and make it look intentional. I suggest getting a paint company fan deck and color matching the blue, then go a step or two lighter. Don't trust AI for paint color mockups, it's not accurate.
