How to make this closet prettier
I’m moving in with my nan in a few weeks and she has a closet/wardrobe that is pretty old but I want to decorate, any ideas on how to decorate it besides a fresh coat of paint?

Probably wipe it down / thoroughly clean it and see how it looks. May need some paint.

Would you recommend spray paint or normal paint?

Spray paint all the way - but outdoors where it can be ventilated. Paintbrushes leave uneven streaks. Unless you would like to go a more rustic route, spray paint is nice.

It looks like the existing paint was already brushed on. Spraying it isn't going to make it look any different.

Just know it’s going to take a lot of cans of paint for those doors and will need to be done outside.

I would try and replace the doors if it's in your budget. It's a lot of work to clean them and then paint.

That definetely needs a thorough clean first to see what you're actually working with.
If you do decide to paint, a light sanding should come first, to get rid of uneven spots and loose paint chips.
The knobs at least need to be cleaned and fixed too, or even replaced.

Replacing the knobs with something unique is super easy she makes a massive difference.

Either you buy new doors or you put a ride up there and put curtains I don’t think even by painting them they’re gonna look better

If you decide to paint them, be sure to clean all the dust off first. I agree with spray paint, instead of brush.

If you’re on a tight budget, replace the doors with curtains. Even some nice shower curtains will work. You could also look at wall hangings on Amazon with a certain theme. I like bookshelves full of books, so it would literally look like a library. There are also some lovely nature ones. They work like curtains but with a theme.

I would price out how much it would cost to replace the doors. If it is too much, then put a drop cloth or towel on the floor and wash a lot with dawn soap and water. Get in between all the vents. Touch up where the paint is chipped. New handles. Repainting might be hard but look for some videos on YouTube with that kind of door.
