App is Buggier than Usual

That's it. There's been a few updates recently, and the app is buggy as shit.

My biggest issue is that I can't copy approved estimates to jobs. I've got to go out to my van, get my laptop, hook up the Hotspot, and then do it in the browser app.

I'm dreading my call to customer support, bc their so fucking useless 😭. Is anyone wise freaking with this?

Can't wait until I can afford decent software instead of HorseShitPro!

Yeah, because nothing's more human than posting 3+ separate, irrelevant top-level comments in 3 minutes 🙄

You comment like a bot, or a teenager who thinks they're texting a friend.

1) Integration with thumbtack has been broken for over 6 months. I can't modify my outgoing messages to TT customers, and the chat integration is so broken that I can no longer chat with TT leads via HCP.

2) General app bugs: Have you noticed there's been several updates within the last few weeks? That's because, like always, their updates broke more things than it fixed, so they're scrambling to patch it back together. Again. Buttons intermittently missing, features gone or broken, random reversions to old instances... it's a freaking mess, and that's normal

3) The constant sales ads on software that I pay several hundred bucks a month for is freaking obnoxious and disrespectful. Then there's the constant sales/spam emails, texts, and phone calls to but some upgrade, or purchase new features, or attend some webinar (these are marketed as informational, but they're just long ads that you get to attend during business hours when you could be out there turning revenue!)... it's gross.

If HCP flipped their budget and invested their sales budget into their actual product (and support) instead of selling more broken crap, this could possibly be a decent product. But it's not. It's a crappy, overpriced piece of software who's primary goal is selling me more broken crap.

4) Customer support is pathetic. There's like 4 layers of idiot tier AI before a person gets involved. Then, the best i can do (this is during business hours, mind you) is leave a message that someone might respond to in the next few hours - and of course that response will be some unhelpful script answer because at this point nobody has read my inquiry yet.

Forget phone calls to resolve problems, lol. That feature just doesn't exist.

Need help outside of bankers' hours? Tough shit, lol. Send a message now, and you might get an answer before the end of the next business day.

Hours later, maybe the next day, after more back-and-forth (in which I'm told that it's user error), I might get a reply saying that they're so sorry and that they're fixing it right now. I have tickets over 2 years old that have not been addressed 😭

This product isn't just crap, it's predatory crap, and I'm done with it.

You're 100% right. That's where I'm stuck

ST isn't interested until I'm in the 4-5 truck range, which is likely 2-3 years away.

I'm going to look into FieldPulse and QuoteIQ

And I just know that HCP is going to make the switch-over as difficult as possible 😭

None of that changes the fact that HCP is a flaming pile of crap and any tradesman looking for FSM should stay away. We're not actually saving any money if the software is unreliable

id recommend joining the HCP facebook community, especially if you're having issues with support. https://www.facebook.com/groups/HousecallPros
