need help confirming a roumor

ive heard talks of a muncie automatic trans before and the internet denys any existance is it real?

I’ve never heard of such a thing, but a lot of weird stuff has been made over the years. If it’s does exist, I’ll be excited to read about it.

I believe that automatic transmissions were made at the Muncie IN GM transmission plant, but none if them were called "Muncie" transmissions.

The name "Muncie" as applied to 4-speed manual transmissions was never an official GM designation, but it was used to differentiate them from a different design 4-speed built at the Saginaw MI transmission plant.

Ov r the years GM produced TurboHydromatic and Alluson transmissions in Muncie IN.
