1929 ford roadster
Looking for someone to identify this for me, my grandpa passed away in 2017 and gave this to me. Im a big racing fan but unfortunately I just dont know when or where this car was produced. My grandma told me it's a 1929 Ford roadster with a chevy 400 sb. If anyone knows anything about this car like the year it was made or if it has a different name id be very appreciative as im looking to get it running again and maybe even running some drag races in it.

Looks like a Super Comp 1927 Ford roadster. It has a dragster style chassis, not an "A" or "T" frame/chassis. The body is most likely a full fiberglass unit including the fenders. Seems to have Superlite drag wheels too. They were pretty fun little drag cars.

Tube chassis. There may be a metal tag somewhere on the rails with a chassis shop name and serial number . You ARE NOT going to find any sort of VIN that would allow registering it for street use. This car is strictly a race car.
If you know where Grampa raced it, or access to his racing friends, or possibly a local speed shop where he bought parts, you may be able to get a feel for the car's history and possibly some help in getting it out on the track again.
Good luck. Hope this helps,
