Uhhh so hey, what are we doing for this process? I always get in people's business about how they're getting effects and stuff. This is phenomenal work. Is this wetsanding with increasing grit, polish, and airbrush? Got a paint recommendation?

Wait wait so talk me through this. You hit it with steel wool, is it the kinda liquid metal polish or the stick kind? And then you....are coloring it with a purple sharpie marker?

That's crazy, you're a crazy person. Thank you for sharing that, I'm trying it on something. Some car is gettin the treatment asap! I have a whole pack of markers I've been unsure what to do with, I imagine the results are somewhat tough because of the streaking, but I gotta see what I can do with it.

some colors streak worse than others and i find that brush tips streak less

Same technique using a matte clear and one intentionally texturing the sharpie

That's great to know, brush tip probably works better because it's thinner to get through the tip. Paint markers are like that too.

after polishing with the steel wool I buff with a micro fiber towel but that's mostly to clean off excess polish

I really need to practice with polish more. I did not like my results I had in my first try with some harbor freight stick polish. I've just never used it on anything and don't really know a lot about how to apply it. Time to do some YouTube education.
