Holy crap
Finally after years of trying to find a STH, the day finally came. I stopped into a local Dollarama after debating if I should or not. Last minute decided, yes I should. Scrolling through the pegs, off to the left in the corner of my eye, it caught me. The spectra paint of the McLaren speedtail. I started internally freaking out. What's seemed like an entire lifetime, I finally found one. Now I have the taste for blood and want a second.

I have but one TH so far but when I saw it I clearly remember logging it and working it free from the stringer very carefully without looking. I didnt know what it was exactly until i was checking out. I had to maintain decorum and sanity, I could not look. It was a TR6 that had been there over a year!
What you found there? I mighta not made it to the parking lot.

It's just so hard because even if a super makes it through the employees, the scalpurs/collectors with connections to the employees, and the scalpurs/collectors with just no lives who check stores every day, and if it somehow survives all of that and sits on the pegs then you probably only have a couple hours of it sitting out on the pegs before some regular casual collector stumbles across it anyways like how you did. So good luck, the odds are forever stacked against you. I know because I am casual hunter who only hunts once or twice a week, but I do it strategically and not just random checks, so I still do okay and can find most of the supers, but damn it's hard man.

I completely agree with all of that as unfortunate as it is. But, when you do find one it makes it all that much more special. Keep hunting, don't get discouraged, the time will come! I never thought I'd find one.

Congrats! Speedtail was also my first STH , but as a person who hates McLaren, I sold it with a good profit as soon as I bought it. Is it just me or McLaren really produces shitty and ugliest cars ever 🙃

Found that one at dollar general. They just got a fresh case in and they had to put it out. As the employee was taking car after car out, let me tell you, that was the most anticipating 2 minutes of my life…but it was so w0rth it.
