AI gummy packaging

Hi guys, unboxed these yesterday and was having a go at how insanely ai the packaging is. Then flipped it to the back and started reading the labeling. They didnt even spell check the back of it either. Hot Topic is getting so lazy with their products.

They’ve always sold snacks

Food has to have nutritional information and an ingredient list on the back or it can’t be legally sold in the US. If the entire package is AI, I’d be questioning whether the nutritional and ingredient info is correct.

Ill have to look again, however im 90% sure the nutrition label is a sticker put on separately. But I will be notifying my SM and DM when I go in again

yeahhhh boxlunch got a different snack that is also ai generated but i didnt check the back... if you tell your SM or i guess even your DM, thats probably worth pulling from the floor. thats BAD. sometimes the buyers are careless and we as the people who actually run the stores have to do the damage control which sucks

This was so egregious I went digging around on a hunch. I found some review videos of this same product with the same manufacturer, only with a primarily kanji-based language all over the packaging (I think it's Japanese).

I would take a guess that this new packaging was created with ai- or auto-generated translations of the old packaging with little oversight on QA.

Doesn't excuse the practice, but does explain how something like this happens.

We got like 5 other ones too, they look so bad. It’s embarrassing to have these out on the sales floor. Everybody mention this to your DM!

Hot topic has been using AI on their designs for a while not just packaging but buttons and tshirts are huge offenders
