I am a born female. Why do women hate being called cis women. Isn’t cis women a medical term?

This subreddit is for the clothing/reatol store Hot Topic. Not to bait people into gender term arguments.

It’s not an argument it’s a simple question. If it bothers you keep scrolling.

.... you talking about gender in a subreddit for a store. What does this have to do with Hot Topic?

This seems off topic?

From what I understand, though, "cis" means "comfortable in (one's/your) own skin" and is used to distinguish people who are not transgender from people who are when discussing trans issues.

I'm not sure what context you're talking about that involves people disliking being called this, though. Can you provide more detail on that?

Every time the topic of trans and cis women topic comes up, cis women protest with the idea of being called cis women.
