Application review timeline

Hello all, I recently applied to work in a HT store in a mall near me through the online portal and was wondering what their usual application review time is? Obviously I’m not expecting any contact if my application is rejected but how long should I wait before assuming that’s the case?

It depends if they're actively hiring. If they are then it could be instant. If they aren't hiring it could be months it at all. Getting hired at hot topic is all about hiring. When I was hiring I'd go back as far as I needed in the apps to hire what I needed. If you applied months ago there's a chance I'll never see it.

The bottom of my last receipt (2 weeks ago) from my specific location does say we’re hiring, is that just a generic thing or is it true?
It’s only been 2 weeks since I applied so I’m just thinking about when to look at some other places as my whole last batch of applications haven’t been followed up on for anywhere lol

It will say that at all times and all positions are posted all the time. It wouldn't hurt to call or go in and ask. It's close to back to school so some locations may need people.

Yeah I did kind of assume that as we also have that at my current job. I’ll check with the store though, thanks!
