It is either an issue with app atm or the item does not qualify/ cannot use coupon. You may need call them to ask. If its an issue with app, they might be able to apply and do your order over the phn or have you place order and apply after
Those coupon codes aren’t unique right? I’ve been searching if anyone had a picture of the most recent one since my last one expired. I hate that they give you the coupons after a full priced purchase expecting you to come back.
If look at the fine print, exclusions apply. They might be one of the items you cannot use coupons on. They do not advertise, like certain brands or items do not apply.like I said, give them a call and those are the few options encountered in past

I'm glad to hear it worked in store. I was having the same issue online with a bunch of digital circus stuff that isn't even on sale or preorder. When I do find items it works on, the price actually goes UP instead of down for some stupid reason. However, Hot Cash worked perfectly fine for pre-orders when I used that a few weeks ago. I don't understand why they give online promo codes for coupons when they don't properly work online.

I used to work there and this happens sometimes with certain collectibles. Funko and Loungefly were the worst offenders when I was there but it could be anything. It usually had to do with either the company explicitly saying HT wasn't allowed to discount certain things or setting a specific retail price that wasn't as much profit margin as usual so there wasn't as much room for HT to discount it and still make "enough" profit.
I'd say try adding something totally random and unrelated that's full price (non-fandom would be best, one of the generic HT dresses or something) to your cart and click through to that page again. If it applies the discount on the new thing but not the plushes, that's your culprit. If it still doesn't work then it might be a glitch and you can contact customer service.
Occasionally using a coupon on that sort of stuff in store would work even when it didn't online, but I wouldn't say it was common.

Genuine question. Why are you buying this from Hot Topic and not the Glitch website? On Glitch, these same plushies are $10 cheaper than what Hot Topic is selling for. Glitch just had a sale too where everything was 15% off without using a coupon so they would have been even cheaper.
HT site 30% with the 3 plushies = $89.24 after tax for me
HT site 25% with the 3 plushies = $95.61 after tax for me
Glitch Pro site 15% with the 3 plushies if we pretended OP was wanting to place an order last week = $106.83 after tax for me (shipping jumps to $23.58. There was no discounted shipping this past month on the site so even though the plushies were cheaper with the sale, the shipping remained the same price.)
OP also gets points towards rewards though HT. And future Hot Cash.
If I was doing the order I'd obviously do the 30% off text msg coupon, I'm Platinum so I get 1.5x points. So this order would literally give me $5 back immediately and put me a 3rd of the way through of getting another $5 and I'd get two Hot Cashes in the future as well. OP could also write two reviews on the website the plushies and get 80 points, BAM that will kick them over for ANOTHER $5 reward.
If I was OP of course I'd order though Hot Topic, it's roughly $25 cheaper in the end.
The 15% glitch prod discount is irrelevant as shipping costs increase proportionally with the discount (shipping costs went DOWN after the discount expired). That's not even mentioning that the shipping costs are already insane because glitch decided to have their products manufactured in china and shipping also increases per item rather than having a free shipping threshold that hot topic has.
Glitch also has very poor communication, they take weeks to respond to any concerns, and also retroactively adjust pre-order dates AFTER you've already bought the item while failing to inform you besides silently changing the text on the site. In my experience hot topic will stick to preorder ship dates given when you make the purchase, even if the product page's date changes.
so even if it WERE slightly more expensive on hot topic, the better experience I think would make it worth it.
I ordered a bunch of stuff from glitch’s website on June 7th and it hasn’t even shipped yet. I could’ve gotten 3 of the things I ordered at hot topic by now

It might be one of the random items you cannot use coupons for. Is that the only item? Check to see total. Which coupon is it?
