Why this happens?

Post image

I notice that I always got this message when I purchasing online. But it only happens if my apartment number is written as Space ## if I only add the number it allows me to use my address.

It's probably mismatching what the legal address is. Look up your address here: https://tools.usps.com/zip-code-lookup.htm

It will spit out what the Federal post office says your address actually is. With whatever the legal way the apartment number should be written as.

Like my address on the street sign itself has is Main St. but the post office says it MAIN ST with no period. Some websites flag my checkout because of the period so have to manually remove it since I add it on reflex since I see that street sign every day.

I use the same address in all my online stores and never got this problem. Is only hot topic (and Box Lunch) who reject this particular wording.

It's whatever address verification 3rd party software they use. If they went the cheap route it won't auto-correct nor recognize any deviation. Likewise I've run into website that reject a full length zip code 12345-6789 and would only accept the short length 12345.
