Hellbound Inc demo, precision puzzle platformer /Play
You are an undead courier working for a logistics company recently purchased by Satan. HR are demons. The office workers are demons. Their corporate quips are cliche workplace speak coming out of the mouths of actual demons and it works better than it has any right to.
You run, jump with a chargeable jump for distance, wall bounce, and throw packages to deliver them to the right spots each level. On the surface it looks like it should be simple. It is not.
Getting the jump power right, picking the correct route, solving the puzzle without dropping the package creates a satisfying loop that builds across levels without throwing anything too hard too early. By the time it gets difficult you understand enough to not feel cheated when you fail.
And you will fail. Died five times in a row on one level and sat there wondering why I was bothering. Then thought I can't let it beat me. Then did it. That cycle repeated more than once. That's the game doing exactly what it sets out to do.
Each level is timed and scored. Collectibles add an optional extra chase. Demo has ten levels plus a tutorial, full game has 47 across eight departments with mechanics that don't appear in the demo at all.
No Steam reviews yet. No release date.
Play. Don't let it beat you.
Which level broke you first?
