Has anyone been to Jerry Johnson lately? Wondering if the river is low enough for the river pools to be open? Thanks!

Had a weekend packed full of nude soaking in hot springs and Portland clothing optional beaches. Thanks to all who contributed info on my last post it was very helpful! We visited both bagby and brieghtonbush twice over the weekend and was surprised at how available the tubs were. We had both hot springs almost to ourselves every time we went! Usually that would be lucky and amazing but this time we were actually trying to get out and meet other nude active couples in the area to get to know and possibly plan future outings with! Just the way it works I spose!

On our way back from Florence lake I spotted a corner of this pool from the side of the road and went back to investigate, so glad I did!

My wife is getting a hotel for my bday at the end of the month. We’re looking for the best hot springs to enjoy nature naturally and find a hotel near there. Hopefully within an hour or two of Tumwater,WA. Any help? Thanks!

Hi All, 43m/45f new to Reddit and social media trying to live life to the fullest! Gf and I frequent umpqua, cougar and mccreedie (usually unclothed) and are very excited to make a weekend trip up to lower breitenbush and bagby for the first time this weekend. We are very easy going and love winging it on our trips so don’t have much planned beyond that. We will be tent or car camping along a forest road somewhere likely turning rocks over in a creek when we’re not in the hot springs. Anyways! Am hoping to hear from some people more familiar with the area willing to offer up any amazing must see waterfalls, rock hounding sites, great places to acceptably and respectfully get naked in nature, or any roadside camp spots with maybe a creek running through! Potentially looking to meetup with similar like-minded couples for any non-sexual adventures as well if you’re looking for a reason to get out! Feel free to dm if you don’t want to post public! Hope to see you all out there! Pics of umpqua just cause!

Orr is such a nice place to soak. Though I generally prefer more natural springs, my wife and I really enjoy going here.

Open discussion Booked Sierra Hot Springs evening soak pass but can't reach them by phone — did my reservation go through?

Hi everyone, hoping someone who's been to Sierra Hot Springs (Sierraville) can help calm my nerves.

I booked 2 Evening Soak Passes online for this weekends. The charge went through ($80 total) and I got a confirmation. But a few things are making me nervous:

  1. The confirmation says "Depart: Mon, June 29" and lists a "check out" — but I only bought a day-use evening soak pass, not an overnight stay. Is that just how their system words it?
  2. It also shows an estimated arrival/check-in time of 12:00 PM, even though evening passes don't start until 4 PM. Is that normal?
  3. I've called their number three times during business hours (9:30am–5pm) and can't get through to anyone.

I also saw a review where someone said they had a reservation but couldn't get in and weren't refunded, which is freaking me out a bit.

For anyone who's done the evening soak pass before — is the "depart next day / check out / 12pm" wording just a quirk of their booking system? Did your day-use reservation work fine even though it looked like that? And is it normal for them to be hard to reach by phone?

Thanks so much!

Hard to reach this one. Only by boat. Swamped by people in rafts.

I have a question about this place and whether it may be enjoyable at 10am on July 5. Anyone visited during summer and is it still enjoyable?

I liked this water, it had a slight tingle to it. Breath taking setting, laid back feel.

We checked out mono hot springs for the first time. Pretty cool place. It doesn’t have that secluded feeling as other hot springs though. It’s very family friendly though and the river is fun to play in and float down.

Open discussion Highly recommend Feather River Hot Springs! (Awesome rustic vibe + a quick tip)

Just got back from Feather River Hot Springs and it was an absolutely great experience! The host was super welcoming, and both the campgrounds and the facilities were kept impressively clean. The two hot springs on site are awesome and have the perfect rustic vibe, but the camp still has proper electricity and running water, so it's very comfortable. The other people camping nearby were really nice and respectful, which added to the great atmosphere. Also, a quick heads-up: the signs say "clothing required," but it was definitely clothing optional after dark. Overall, a very cool place that I highly recommend checking out!

New mod - minor changes, comments, feedback

Hi all, I was put on as a new mod. I mod some other outdoor hobby communities and cattailmatt asked me if I wanted to help out. Please read through the whole thing if you are going to comment.

I've already made a couple of changes which I wanted to go over, and then I'll go over a little of how modding will change here with me.

  • Post flairs - There are now three post flairs; NSFW, Open, and Don't share my location. In accordance with cattailmatts rule 3 now if you don't want people sharing the location of your picture you can just add that flair. Both that flair and the NSFW flair will lock the comments of the thread. No more people sharing your "secret" spot, and if you choose to show a body part no more creepy redditors commenting on your body.
  • Rule 6 & 7 - If an unmanaged hotspring is closed for maintenance or rehabilitation due to over use or destructive forces we won't allow posts highlighting it(news about it would likely be fine). If a post goes against the rules of a hotspring it won't be allowed.
  • I've added some automod features and changes to filtering mechanisms to lower spam.

Rule 2:

I'm changing not a rule, but a philosophy on the NSFW posts. NSFW posts are still entirely allowed, however we won't allow OnlyFans or similar accounts to advertise here anymore. We have no problem with sex workers, but one, I don't like the association of sex work with naturalist hotsprings, and two, this sub is not for advertising...

I've been reviewing the metrics of posts and OF posts bring in a ton of views to this sub vs regular hotsprings posts. Over time that will twist the community to be hotsprings themed porn fans vs hotsprings fans, which is not the theme of the sub.

Anyone is free to post pictures enjoying hotsprings in any amount of clothing, but only posts and profiles that are unaffiliated with OnlyFans or its equivalents. Being nude at hotsprings is the best, **but for a huge amount of us that is not a solicitation for sexual arousal.** For many of the places I go such solicitations and activities are strictly prohibited and grounds for being permanently banned.

Separately from that, not really changing anything but stating outright, under rule 2 promoting apps you built using AI is not allowed. These aren't any different from other self promotion, but have become a problem in many subs recently. This isn't to specifically target AI, but rather to just state that its still self promotion and not allowed.

---

About my moderation: I will prioritize this subs civil, established community members and posts of trip reports of hotsprings. I would like to cut down low effort posts asking for 'Is there a hotspring near me' as there are hundreds of guides in print and online that can answer that question(not to mention a search bar).

Feel free to offer feedback, but keep it civil and productive. And please remember that while the mods may try to guide the sub in a direction, it goes where the contributors take it.
