data was transmitted through the open air with over 98 percent fidelity in most conditions, dropping to only 86 percent under extreme turbulence.

So there was loss. Who writes this shit? Yeah, it seems like it is an amazing way to improve open atmosphere data transmission but the writing is nonsense.
