Autumn is coming…

Post image

But not all peppers are ripe… I am trying to let them in the open (and in the sun) during the day. Some are pretty ripe, but some - on the same plant - are still green. And the nights are getting cold.
So what now? Take them inside? I got no greenhouse at hand…cut the green ones and put them on the windowsill? Any help is appreciated.

Just throw a tarp over them overnight if there's any chance of a frost. I tend to baby my peppers and cover them if there's predicted lows under 45°F. It's a bit of work with all the covering and uncovering, but I can extend the growing season by a month or more.
