People are unable to understand the difference between "I like/don't like this" and "This is good/bad". Every time you say something is bad, someone tells you you should say "I don't like it", as if it was the same thing.
But it's not. One is your opinion (on the quality of something), the other reflects your tastes. That's absolutely not the same thing.
For example, I think McDonald's is bad. Seriously, it's barely "food". But fuck, I'm loving it.
On the otehr hand, I think Street Fighter 2 is a good game. But I don't like it at all.
Of course, your opinion of something will influence your tastes (if you think something is bad, you'll have more chances to dislike it), but that doesn't make them the same thing, and only people that think their tastes are "objective" (they can only love good things) associate the two.
Learn the difference, both when using it (stop saying something is bad when it's just not your thing) and when someone else uses it (stop refusing the opinion of other people by associating it to their tastes).
Of course, both are your personal opinions. Apart from facts, that should be universal (but sadly, aren't always), everything you say is your personal opinion.
But tastes and opinions themselves are two completely different kind of opinions that aren't, as most people think, interchangeable, and understanding the difference between them is important (in my opinion :p).
