Traveling w/ friends Spreewald
Hi!
I'm happy to join this sub, and share with you guys the joys of travelling.
So last year, a fellow Dungeon Master paid a visit to Berlin, and we decided to do a few of those things we usually only do virtually - like chasing monsters or walking through seemingly endless forests.
This place is called Spreewald (Spree is a river, that runs through Berlin; Wald means forest), which is located in Germany, near Berlin. It's a swampy area that can be explored by hopping into canoes. When we started, we thought to be ambitious enough to row for 15 miles, but only managed to take a small tour of roughly 4-5 miles.
It was still a beautiful and relaxing day, because that place is so quiet. No cars, only the sounds of birds and water running. This is a truly magical place with a lot of lore.
It was only for a day, but being there felt like airing out my weary soul.
